Margaret and Philip never really was a good parent even before Evan was born. Margaret don't even know why he married Philip and why he become like that after the marriage
Philip was a good man he was caring and loves everyone but for some reason his true colors came out, he became abusive
When Maddie is born the abuse becomes worst, beofre it was only shouts and hits with fingers, now whenever the child will cry the man will raise its hands it hit the mother. The face of the mother cannot be identified with all the bruises and marks of hits, cuts and dried blood from his face going down to his neck and shoulders it can be seen.
Domestic Abuse is very common in thier place but thr goverment barely pay attention so most women or men are weak..
Some years later Margaret gets pregnat with buck, because of sexual Assult by his husbund, she clearly refused sex but her husbund pulled his hands pushed her in bed and the worst happened, cries of the mother can be heard and the poor child was standing in the corner with a teddy bear in her hands crying as her mother was sexualy Assulted
It was the worst 9 months, the child in her womb only brings worst memories, nightmares so she tried abortion but Maddie the young girl had stopped her, the young girl wanted a sibling ang promised to take care of the child
When the child is born, it was a beautiful baby boy, blond hair can be seen and the birthmark beside the beautiful blue eyes can be seen, as young Maddie smiled and held his baby brother, the mother's reaction is the exact opposite, tears and fear in her eyes, as she said he doesn't want to have the child and want it for adoption, Maddie cried and she reminded her mother the promise
Sooner when buck turns 1, Margaret brought them to Los Angles and said they are going to Disney land but when Maddie looked behind holding his baby brother She saw that thier mother was no where to be found
Thier mother left them in the streets of L.A. far from thier home
Thats where they end up, in dark alley is where they always slept, sometimes people gave them food and money sometimes they don't so Maddie was forced to steal to feed her baby brother. They both ran with the polices, and child services. Maddie feared that they would take her brother away from her.
Years have gone by and Buck turns 5 although buck kept asking for Maddie about thier parents, Maddie's mouth was kept shut, instead Maddie thought buck how to read and write. They got the supplies from dumpster diving. People throw lot of usefull things there..
Thier lives was fine, beisdes still living in the streets, free from danger until something happened, Evan is sick, like real sick it starts with a minor fever, then vomits of blood, and he just fainted. Maddie in her mindless panic carried her baby brother brining him to the hospital but when they arrive no one took them
They are judging them, with all of those dirty torn clothes no one would help them, people will only help those who have money
As they helplessly shake each doctor hoping someone would care Maddie is losing hope, not until a doctor named Cristine Mandelez took them
As Maddie say they can't pay for it, Cristine simply said it is on the house and she will pay for it. Maddie's face lit up with a smile and thanked the woman
A lot of test was ran in Evan's body until it was confirmed leukemia, Maddie being young don't know what it is so the doctors explained it. The smile slowly vanished as they said its already terminal and he would not live long, if Chemo ever works it would only add 2 years lifetime if not, his baby brother will only have 3 months to live
They are not on the streets anymore, but they are on a hospital with his baby brother laying up unconscious, with lots of tubes, yes they get cleaned up and the woman who took them also feeds Maddie, but if his baby brother is dead she has nothing to live for
First session of chemo started, and it works as for the second and third they all worked until the very last one that had failed the doctor told Maddie that the best for the moment is either letting Evan rest or Bone marrow translplat.
Of course Maddie chose the seconf option, but ahe slowly lose hope when she was not a match, no one was a match, no one donated they have no choice.. Pull the plug and wait for the darkness and eternal death to consume her baby brother
She has no choice...
As maddie slowly approach her brothers bedside and held his hand his brother spoke and muttered words "Mads" as maddie slowly stood in his chair stroking his brother's hair he smiled
"I know you're tired Evan, you can rest now don't worry I'll be fine" Maddie said as he wiped her tears, 3 years of fighting was worth nothing, her brother will still die
"sing, please" the young boy said in a weak voice "the one you used to sing everyday when im scared" he added
"anything you want" Maddie said as he fixed herself and took a deep breath

a tears fell in the womans eyes as her brother slowly closed his eyes, the blues can't be seen, and those eyes where never opened again
