Apathy.

Summary:

Roman knew what he was to them now. A monster. Useless. A villain.

Roman didn’t want to play the role, but if it was a villain they wanted, it was a villain they’d get.

He’d just have to get rid of all the things that made him good.

Okay, well he was definitely wrong, but how was he meant to know the light sides didn’t despise him with every fiber of their being?

Also he’s more “sad and chill” than “terrifying and evil”, just so you know.

Chapter Text

Roman groaned when his alarm clock went off. He unplugged the damned thing and turned over in bed. Had he seriously not gotten any sleep?!

whatever. Patton’ll probably come to wake me up. Roman thought. and logan’ll probably chastise me for not getting sleep.

Roman rolled his eyes, turning the light on. He wasn’t getting out of his room til someone came, he was too tired to actually live his life.

Roman waited a couple minutes. Then 15. Then about half an hour. Then an hour. Then a little bit more.

”are you kidding me?” He questioned. Maybe they were still bitter about the whole wedding thing. He didn’t blame them.

well.. maybe he should though. Pretty much everyone but Janus encouraged him to pick the wedding. Then it made Thomas miserable and everyone started siding with Janus even though he thought they weren’t meant to like him, and Roman was treated so coldly for the decision, even though he did what they wanted him to do!

or, at least what he thought they wanted him to do..

roman huffed, getting up and going to his closet. Where was that old outfit Remus had given him?

he dragged it out eventually. It was a black, ruffled, collared dress shirt covered in little sparkly sequins. It had a bright, fiery red sash attached to it and a maroon cloak with black leggings. He picked up the note attached to it.

In case you ever decide to go batshit crazy on the Lights and they decide they’re too good for you. -Remus. it read.

he put it on. He grabbed his sword and summoned his portal into the imagination.

if the Light Sides would treat him like a villain, well..

he’d just have to become one for them.
