Chapter Text
Echo and Omega had gone on another mission for the rebellion it was supposed to be a simple mission but things went downhill in a blink of an eye. All they had to do was get some crates that the rebellion needed. They didn’t know what was in them but that seemed simple enough. That is what they thought.
“Omega have you located the crates yet?”Echo asked her through their comms.
“Yes, I’ve found them!” Omega responded back.
“Good grabbed them and get back to the ship.”
“Copy that, wait” omega started to say.
“What? What’s wrong?!” Echo shouted through the comms.
“I don’t think I’m alone here” she said.
It all happened so fast before she could even turn around she heard blaster fire and it was aiming for her. She didn’t have time to move the shot hit her shoulder and she fell off the roof of the building she was on.
“Omega!” Echo called for her. He saw everything, he never in his life sprinted so fast off the ship. He knew once he found her it was going to be bad he just hopes she survived that fall.
He finally reached her, this doesn’t look good at all he thought to himself. Her eyes were closed and her face was all scrunched up in pain. “Oh ad’ika” he said more to himself than her. He was at her side at in instant.
Echo doesn’t know what to do the rebellion needs those crates but Omega’s life is more important right now. He thought about getting those crates but he shook his head no forget about the crates taking care of Omega is what’s important right now.
He’s so clueless right now on how to help Omega she’s definitely in a lot of pain right now she probably wants reassurance. “It’s ok Omega it’s going to be alright I’m here” he said holding her hand tight.
“I’m so sorry vod’ika but this is going to hurt” Echo warned her. He carefully as he could gathered her into his arms. She immediately cried in pain and he winced.
As he was running as fast as he could back to the ship he kept telling her he was sorry for the paint he was causing her by having to hold her. They made it back to the ship he immediately brought her to their little med bay room that they had on their ship.
He can’t really do much for her since the main injury is her leg. But he can stop the bleeding from her left shoulder. Once he got that wrapped up and made sure she was asleep he ran to the cockpit.
Once he was in the air he contacted the batch. “Finally what took you so long?” Hunter answered Echo first.
“Hunter we have a major situation” Echo shouted.
“What kind of situation” Hunter sarcastically said not thinking it would be about them.
“I’m afraid it’s Omega” Echo nervously answered. Hunter didn’t immediately answer back he was just met with silence.
The batch’s pov:
While Echo and Omega went on a mission for the rebellion the rest of the batch decided to stay back on Yavin4 and help out.
“Ugh what is taking them so long to comm us” Hunter shouted.
“Perhaps they’re retrieving the crates right now” Tech said.
Hunter sighed “Maybe you’re right.”
“Of course I am.” Tech said dramatically.
About 10 minutes passed by when Hunter’s comm went off. Finally he thought what the kriff took so long.
“Hunter we have a major situation!” Echo said. Hmm that’s weird usually it’s Omega who answers first. He shrugs the thought of something bad happened to them because how could it this mission was the easiest mission they’ve ever done even Omega could do it by herself.
“What kind of situation.” He said sarcastically while rolling his eyes.
Echo sighs before saying “I’m afraid it’s Omega.” The batch is dead silent everyone surrounded Hunter. “What?!” They all screamed into Hunter’s comm.
“Hunter it’s bad I’m not gonna lie it’s worse than any injury ya’ll ever had since I’ve been with the squad.” Echo said.
The batch all look at each other with worry Hunter’s heart is racing. “What kind of injury are we talking about?”
“You’re not gonna like it.” Echo said.
“Just tell me!” Hunter was getting angry not knowing.
“She—she got shot.” He told them. Hunter is beginning to feel lightheaded this can’t be happening it can’t!
All he can say is “What!” Again. “I don’t know why or how I’m guessing it was by a sniper she just got shot in the shoulder though but Hunter that’s not the injury you should worry about.” Hunter lowered his comm and closed his eyes just for a few seconds. “What’s the other injury?” Hunter asked.
“It’s her leg when she fell she landed on it badly.” Kriff Echo sounded like he’s on the verge of crying is it really that bad? Hunter thought. “She’s going to need medical attention as soon we land she’s in too much pain to wait.”
“Alight we’ll let the medics know the situation as soon as you land they’ll be ready to take her.” Hunter assured him.
“And Echo” Hunter began to say.
“Yeah?” Echo asked. “Please take care of her for us.” Hunter requested.
