    (This story deviates from canon after the Batch get their chips removed. Omega never gets stolen and the Batch make it off Bracca without Crosshair getting toasted like a goddamn marshmallow. Also I'm taking darksaber lore and breaking it over my knee)

     

    After a mission for Cid goes awry, the Bad Batch finds themselves marooned on an unfamiliar planet. With the Havoc Marauder in need of repairs and a hyper child in their company, Hunter allows Omega to go and explore while they work, so long as she promises to stay within hearing distance.

    However, their peaceful break turns into the beginning of a nightmare when Omega unknowingly stumbles across an ancient Mandalorian weapon. When things strange and dangerous things start to happen, the Batch must find a way to rid themselves of the curse that has latched onto their team's youngest member. Problem is, the Darksaber sees a great deal of promise in Omega, and its inhabitants aren't willing to let go of their new Mand'alor so easily.

    When a mission to rescue Crosshair goes wrong and Omega is left in the clutches of the Empire, Hunter and Crosshair are forced to put their differences to one side... for the sake of their sister.

    If you are a Crosshair fan or a Hunter and Omega father/daughter relationship fan, this ticks both of those boxes.

    This is a very loose take on a theory I had a long time ago about the ending of Season 2, I hope you all enjoy!
    Brownie points if you can find the two references to other things I planted in here!
