In his sixteen years of existence, Felix had lived without really fitting anywhere. He had thought that, maybe, Hogwarts could be a different place — an explanation as to why he was different and why he found it impossible to make friends; but Felix had quickly grown disenchanted when his fear of not creating meaningful connections became a reality.
He accepted his fate, and for six years he kept his head low and his friends to zero. Why seven boys came into his life, breaking him out of the deep end he had sank in, he would never know.
