Work Text:
Regulus Black is the rain.
He’s not the sun, or the moon, or the stars, he’s the rain.
The rain is dark and gloomy, but it’s also quiet and comforting. It makes you want to curl up inside with a blanket, yet it begs you to go outside and dance.
You can’t overlook the rain. When it’s raining, you notice immediately. It’s not like the sun because the sun is out nearly every day, allowing people to admire it whenever they please. The rain only allows itself to be seen every once in a while.
James Potter cherishes the rain. He loves everything about it. He loves the smell, the pattering sound it makes when it hits the pavement, and most of all, the euphoric, on top of the world feeling it gives him.
His favourite weather is sun showers, when the sun and the rain share the sky, working together in the most beautiful way. They’re lovely separately, but together they’re unmatched. He likes to think that the sun and the rain are soulmates, better together.
