The Easter Egg Hunt
Ignis sighed as he packed up his bag and turned out the office light. His plans of a quiet evening at home had been horribly interrupted by the appearance of one of the Council members with an urgent addition to tomorrow’s Council meeting. Upon review of the report he’d been handed, Ignis realized Noctis would need to be briefed. It would be unseemly during the meeting for the Crown Prince to appear ignorant of such a major development, especially with Noctis standing in for his father while Regis was on a diplomatic trip to Accordo.
Leaving his office, he traveled the short distance to the Prince’s apartment. He was thankful the holiday traffic was light at the time. He pulled into the underground parking garage, nodding at the Crownsguard on duty as he parked. He headed up the elevator to the Prince’s penthouse, digging in his bag for the report. He’d offered to spend the day with Noctis, but the Prince had insisted he would be fine and that Ignis should take a day for himself. Ignis had briefly popped by the office to take care of a few quick matters by email and was just planning to leave when he received the visit from the Council member.
Unlocking the front door, Ignis stepped inside and closed the door behind him. A flash of purple caught his eye and he stopped, zeroing in on the unexpected sight. A plastic egg sat on the entryway table, partially hidden behind the vase that decorated the space. Ignis’ brow furrowed and he gently picked it up. It was light, as though the egg was empty. He toed off his shoes, trying to puzzle out why it was there.
Ignis felt a flash of memory of days long past when the Citadel gardens would be stocked full of tiny eggs like the one he held, hidden amongst the greenery and the children of the Citadel would run excitedly through the gardens grabbing as many plastic eggs as they could. They would be filled with candy and a few special ones would hold coins or vouchers for festival rides or special experiences. Ignis frowned as he looked around the prince’s apartment. Had Noctis felt lonely for the days of his youth and tried to recreate the experience for himself?
A sound from Noctis’ bedroom pulled Ignis from his thoughts. It almost sounded like a sob. Ignis moved toward the bedroom door on silent feet. He could hear some rustling inside. He gently knocked and didn’t wait for a response before opening the door. The words died on his lips as the door swung open. Ignis’ eyes widened as he took in the sight before him.
Noctis was astride Prompto. A tight body suit was strapped to his frame, cinched in like a corset at his waist. The bottom of the body suit was undone and pushed up toward Noctis’ waist. A puff of a tail bounced as Noctis continued to roll his hips. A pair of rabbit ears were on top of his head.
Ignis’ eyes met Prompto’s and the blonde’s eyes widened and then Noctis made a noise and Ignis watched in silent shock as Prompto’s eyes rolled back and his back arched as he gave a moan that was sure to haunt Ignis’ dreams for some time to come. “Oh gods,” Ignis said, his voice high as he slammed the door and walked back to the living room. He paced back and forth for a few minutes as he listened to the sound of raised voices in Noctis’ bedroom. He squeezed his hand, feeling the plastic egg split open. Ignis held it up, seeing a folded piece of paper inside. He grabbed it and opened it, his hand rubbing his temple. “Noctis! Get out here,” he called out.
Noctis’ bedroom door swung open and he stepped out, a scowl on his face and a hastily donned robe wrapped around his frame. “Specs, what are you doing here?”
“A matter was brought to my attention that you need to be briefed on before tomorrow’s meeting. I stopped by to drop off a report for you to review prior to the meeting, but instead I found this,” Ignis said, holding up the purple plastic egg. He pointed to his head. “I believe you missed something.”
Noctis reached up and pulled the rabbit eared headband off while blushing. “You’re not supposed to be here,” he muttered.
“Indeed,” Ignis said, rubbing his temple. “Prompto, come join us!” he called out.
The bedroom door creaked open again and the blonde exited, his face flushed red. “H-hey Iggy. Happy Easter.”
“Hmmm, yes. I’ve had happier holidays to be certain,” Ignis said with a sigh. “Noctis, you will need to read this before tomorrow’s meeting,” Ignis said, handing over the report. He turned and started for the apartment door before stopping and holding up the purple egg again. “Also, I would advise against attempting this position. While porn may make this look easy, Noctis you lack the flexibility necessary to make this possible for you without risking injury,” Ignis said, tossing the egg back to Noctis.
Prompto snatched it out of Noctis’ hand and looked it over while Ignis shoved his feet back in his shoes. Prompto cocked his head to the side. “Iggy, how do you know how much flexibility is needed for this?”
Ignis froze as his eyes widened and Noctis’ eyes went wide. Noctis spun around and slapped a hand over Prompto’s mouth. “Shhhh,” he hissed.
Ignis grabbed his bag and looked at Noctis. “We will never speak of this again?” he said.
Noctis nodded emphatically. Ignis nodded. “Happy Easter,” he said, closing the door and hearing Noctis throw the lock behind him. Ignis stood there for a few moments, willing his body to calm down as the sight of Noctis astride Prompto floated back in his mind’s eye.
Inside the apartment Noctis shared a look with Prompto. “Soooo,” the prince said slowly, “you know you haven’t found all the eggs yet.”
Prompto chuckled. “After that, you’re still up for the Easter Egg Hunt?”
Noctis smirked as he sashayed past the blonde. “Well you know what they say about rabbits…”
Prompto swallowed hard and started scanning the apartment for another egg.
