"Nah. Don't be sorry. I get it," Dean whispered as he looked down at their hands and licked his lips. A strange weight lifted off Castiel's shoulders when Dean grabbed his hands more firmly and held them tight. They let their hands rest on the mattress between them. "I get it. Contact - touching - it's important for humans. Sounds dumb. But it's true. People need… like a herd or clan or whatever. We're not meant to be alone."
Cas looked blankly at him. "That seems like interesting advice for you of all people to give me."
Dean chuckled, nodding. "Yeah. But I do have some friends and I have Sammy. Still, you have a point. I mean, how do you think I know? Why do you think I am the way I am? Like I said. I get it."
