Chapter Text

“Mommy!” A four year old Izuku yelled as he ran down the stairs towards his mother.

“Yes, Izuku? What do you need?” His mother, Inko, answered in return. Smiling sweetly at the young boy.

Izuku smiled widely. “I get my quirk today! Once I get it, I can be a hero  just like All Might!” Inko smiled at his enthusiasm.

“That’s right Izuku! I bet your quirk will be amazing, just like you! You just have to wait for your father, he’s bringing you there.” The green haired child hesitated slightly before giggling at his mother and sitting down one the floor to play with his new All Might Figurine. Inko watched him with a small smile on her face. She really hoped that he would get a powerful quirk like her husbands, or even a more powerful version of hers. better yet, a powerful combination of the two, maybe Pyrokinesis? She then heard a call from the stairs.

“Izuku! Are you ready to go? Izuku’s appointment with the quirk doctor is in 15 minutes already!” Glancing up at her husband she failed to notice her son’s slight flinch after hearing his father’s voice.

“Of course Hisashi, Izuku here was just waiting for you, it’s a shame i can’t go but i have work to attend to,” Inko slowly got out of her seat. “Izuku sweetie, c’mon, go with your father so you can see what your quirk is!” Izuku nodded enthusiastically and stashed his All Might figurine in his pocket before getting up off the floor. Hisashi and Izuku then left the house, hearing Inko shut the door behind them.

“Ah, hello there, you must be the Midoriya family! Please come sit,” The doctor said as they entered the office. Izuku sat down in the chair nearest to the doctors desk, while Hisashi opted for the seat across from him.

“So you are here for young Izuku here correct?” The doctor asked, Hisashi nodded in response.

“And what are your quirks?”

“Ah, my wife has the ability to float small object towards herself, and I can breathe fire,” Hisashi said while Izuku was busy with his figurine.

“Both of you are fourth generation quirk users correct?” He nodded his head.

“Well i suppose i’ll get started then, we’ll start with a quick x-ray and then we’ll get a quick analysis from my colleague in the other room, how does that sound?” The doctor asked.

“That sounds wonderful doctor,” Hisashi responded. The doctor then took Izuku into a different room to do the x-ray. He returned a few minutes later with the results. Izuku crawled back up on to his seat, just about bouncing of the walls with excitement.

“Well the good news is he isn’t quirkless, the x-ray shows that he does indeed have only one joint in his pinky toe. Humans with quirk evolved to become a more streamline version of themselves, while the small percentage of quirkless people left, have two joints.” The doctor explained. “Now that that’s done my colleague should be here any second.”

They sat in silence for a few moments before they heard the door open as the doctors colleague entered the room.

“Hello, my name is Ayuna Yamira, my quirk is called Analysis, i have the ability to analyze people’s quirk to find out how they work. All i have to do is touch and make eye contact with the person for it to work,” She explained, before going up to Izuku. She softly touched his shoulders with both hands and looked him in the eyes for a brief second before jumping back in shock.

“What is it Ayuna? Is there something wrong?” The doctor asked, but she was frozen in place, hardly even breathing before attempting to speak.

“He- he has- I- I- I have- I have never-“ She was stuttering so much it was difficult to understand her but she eventually calmed herself down enough to finally speak almost normally.

“I- I have never seen a quirk like th-this in my entire 30 years of working here, I h-have seen powerful quirks before but- but this- this is almost to p-powerful.” She was visibly shaking as she spoke, her eyes were frantic as she tried time and time again to calm herself down. Her quirk had gone into overdrive but she ultimately calmed down enough to tell them more.

“His quirk is c-called Quirk Creator, and it is p-pretty much what it sounds like. He can create quirks.” There was a collective gasp around the room. Ayuna continued on though.

“All that h-he needs to do is think of a quirk, or an ability of a quirk and he w-will immediately have that quirk, for a-as long as he needs it before residing in an inventory of sorts, once he creates a quirk, he will no longer n-need to create that quirk again as h-he will have it forever. The only drawbacks are the ones the quirks he creates will have. Of course, since he can m-make them, he can also control their drawbacks, but there has to be at least one drawback to each quirk, it might be hard for him to control the drawbacks at first, but over time he should be able to minimize the drawbacks as much as possible.” The room was completely silent. Each person not being able to fathom what they were hearing until Izuku finally broke the silence with a high pitched squeal.

“MY QUIRK IS SO COOOOOL! NOW I CAN BE A HERO JUST LIKE ALL MIGHT!” Ayuna smiled at the young boy, before speaking up once more.

“And one more thing, he can give these quirks to other people if he wants to, as well as take other people’s quirks from them, although i don’t see why he would need to, that might come in handy during a villian fight or something, since he wants to be a hero. I do recommend he come here every week for training though, this quirk, while amazing and powerful, could also be really dangerous if not trained properly.” Hisashi nodded, pretending to be worried.

“I understand. That would probably be for the best that he learn to control it,” Hisashi stated.

“For now i think we should have him think up his first quirk, while we are still here to help in case something goes wrong.” Hisashi nodded again at Ayuna’s statement. Ayuna then turned to Izuku.

“Hey Izuku,” His eyes looked up from his figurine to look at her. “I want you to try and create a quirk okay? Try to make it something small at first so it’s easier to control.” Izuku nodded before closing his eyes.

I felt my eyes close as I tried to focuse on my quirk. I was so excited about my quirk that I had to try to calm myself down first, ‘I’m sure mommy will be so excited as well!’ But either way, I know have to figure out how to use it. I thought that the best first quirk to try would be like  mommy’s, ‘I really like her quirk! It’s so cool! She can make things float!’ I concentrated hard on making her quirk, but making it so that it wouldn’t be exactly the same. I thought of the little hand movement mommy made and how the things came towards her, I also thought about them going the other way. ‘Mommy and Daddy are gonna be so proud of me! And maybe Daddy would stop doing weird things to me!’ I felt something weird in my chest as I thought about it more and more. It felt really warm and nice. I opened my eyes, and felt that same warm feeling in my hands as I tried to find the closest thing to me. My eyes landed on a pen not to far away. I lifted my hand up and started pulling it to me, I saw the nice lady and the doctors eyes go big as the pen lifted up off the counter and went to me before I grabbed it out of the air.

Hisashi, the doctor, and Ayuna looked at the small boy in amazement, he had closed his eyes for a couple seconds, before opening them once again and pulling a pen towards him and smiling brightly. Ayuna figured he had tried to copy his mother’s quirk. The only concerning thing though, is once he had grabbed it, and presumably let go of his quirk, he immediately winced as if something had hurt him.

“Did it hurt?’ Ayuna asked.

“Yeah, my head hurts a bit,” Izuku admitted. Ayuna nodded in acknowledgment before turning to Hisashi.

“He should hopefully be fine, try to keep training him with it, let him try to pick up small things, things that won’t give him to bad of a headache, as that appears to be the drawback of this one.” Hisashi just nodded, again, pretending that he cared.

“And other than that he can go! Just bring him back each week, my office is office number 118,”

“Thank you,” Hisashi said before turning to Izuku. “Let’s go Izuku,” Izuku was quick to follow his father out the door.

~~~~~~~~~~><~~~~~~~~~~
As they got in the car Izuku was still bouncing with excitement. He couldn’t wait to tell his mom! But that happiness was soon stripped away as he was smacked across the cheek with a calloused hand. Hisashi spoke in an angry tone.
“Don’t you DARE tell anyone about this. Not even your mother. Tell her you are quirkless, got it?” Izuku nodded, too shocked to do much else. “Good, this will stay between us. I’ll be the one training you, everyday. That quirk will be mine. And if you tell your mom you will be punished severely” Hisashi finished before finally starting the car and driving home. Izuku was almost in tears, but he didn’t cry, he was smart for his age. He knew if he cried it would be much worse than a slap on the cheek.
~~~~~~~~~~><~~~~~~~~~~

Once they got home, Hisashi dragged Izuku by the hair up the stairs and to his bedroom. Inko wouldn’t be home for another few hours, so he had plenty of time to start training Izuku. He quickly brought him to the bookshelf up against one of the walls and pressed a button. Suddenly the bookcase opened and there we stairs leading down to a dark room. Hisashi had built this room once Izuku was born, knowing it would be used if he was going to get a proper successor.

“Ok brat, your training starts now. I’m going to tell you what quirks to make and you are going to fucking make them got it? And if you don’t make them good enough you will be punished.” Hisashi turned on the dim lights and  quickly found another button that flipped one of the walls to reveal……a bunch of assorted weapons. From swords to maces, clubs to spears. Everything. Izuku took a deep breath once he saw those, he didn’t know what they all were, but he knew they would hurt, a lot.

“Ok, first one. I want you to make a fire quirk, and use it on those dummies over there. Since your still learning, and i’m just that nice, i’ll let you create most of it, so there will be less chance for punishment. But I won’t continue to go this easy on you, understand?” Izuku nodded and closed his eyes. He thought of the pro hero Endeavor and decided to try to copy his quirk. He tried to remember everything he had watched, every fight Endeavor was in, to try and figure out how his quirk worked. It really helped that hero analysis was a hobby of his. He felt that warm, nice feeling in his chest again, and felt it move down to his hands. He then opened his eyes and tried using it. He focused on one of the dummies and let his quirk do the work. Flames shot out of his hands and quickly enveloped the dummy completely. He then heard slow clapping from behind him.

“Going for Endeavor I see, interesting. Either way you did fine. Next quirk.”

~~~~~~~~~~><~~~~~~~~~~
The training went on for hours on end before Inko finally declared that she was home. Hisashi went to greet her after telling Izuku to teleport back to his room(one of the new quirks). Izuku was completely exhausted. He had just created 36 new quirks, and the drawbacks mostly hurt him. Not to mention Hisashi wasn’t satisfied with 14 of them so he had received some brutal punishments. All he felt at that moment was pain. He decided to try to make one last quirk before going to bed. A healing quirk. As he created it he could hear his father tell his mother that he was already in his bed and that he had had a rough day. He then heard his mother coming up the stairs. He quickly finished making the healing quirk, and quickly started healing the wounds that would possibly be visible to her. The wounds would still leave scars, but it’s better than keeping the wounds open. He saw his door open and his mother come in. She sat at the edge of his bed.
“So what quirk did you get? Your father told me you were having a rough day, is it because of that? I’m sure whatever quirk you have, you can still be a hero!” She smiled at him nicely. He suddenly felt worse than before, he couldn’t tell her, or…
“And if you tell your mother you will be punished severely”
He did not want to be punished again, so he lied to her. She would understand right? She would still love him even if he was quirkless! She would tell him everything is going to be ok and that he can still be a hero!
“I-I didn’t get one.” He said, tears pooling in his eyes. “I-I’m quirkless,” He looked down, expecting her to comfort him. But when he looked up once again, he realized she wasn’t going to comfort him at all.
Inko was frozen in shock. Her son? Was quirkless? A weak quirk she would’ve been fine with, as hers wasn’t to strong either. Maybe a bit disappointed, but no quirk? How could he be a hero when he’s quirkless? She couldn’t believe it.
“No your not.” She simply said.
He froze for a second, thinking she knew about his quirk somehow, then realizing she was just in denial, he was a very smart kid for his age, and also very observant.
“I am! The d-doctor said so!………can I- can I s-still become a hero?” He asked, tears slowly falling down his face, still hopeful she would say yes.
“No! Of course not! Are you crazy? A quirkless kid can’t be a hero! How would you even stand up for yourself! Let alone others! You don’t have a quirk!” Inko yelled furiously.
Izuku just felt like his heart had been ripped into a thousand little tiny pieces. He choked on his tears as more and more fell down his face. He was in disbelief that his mom- his own mother, would say something like that to him.
“W-what?” He asked, unsure he even heard her right.
“You heard me brat! You can’t be a hero without a quirk! That’s just a stupid fucking pipe dream, it will never happen. Just fucking give up. Worthless brat.” Inko got up, walked to the door, and turned around to speak.
“Get over here you useless bitch, I’m bringing you over to Mitsuki’s house for a few days. And you are going to stay there until I come get you ok? I don’t even want to see you for longer than I have to.” Izuku quickly jumped out of bed and ran after her.
