Work Text:
Shepard
It has been two years since the end of the Reaper wars. Jasmine Shepard has found herself grounded on Earth. Not because she was in trouble but because she decided to retire. It was a strange thought considering she was still shy of thirty-five years old. But she fought and won enough battles to warrant her an early retirement. Right now, she’s getting ready to have dinner with Kaidan. Ironically enough, her ex- boyfriend from her days of hunting down Saren.
She twists her now long red hair into a bun on the back of her head, smudges on some eyeshadow, lining her eyes with kohl and a smudge of lipstick to complete her face. Her chosen attire was a simple black sweater dress and a pair of comfortable leggings underneath. She steps back and admires how she looks in the mirror where she could not rightly deny that the years of retirement has done wonders for her. Gone were the days where all she ate were a few MRE’s before missions and now she was at a healthy weight and ironically enough looked rather healthy.
She heads out to the restaurant and settles on a table by the window. Her focus turns inwards as she realizes she’s early. It had been nearly a year since she saw anyone from her squad. James and Kaidan had both opted to stay in the Alliance whereKaidan mainly focused on his job as a Spectre, while James had stuck around on Earth for a month or two before the Alliance realized that one of their notable N7’s was just dicking around..
She kept in touch with Liara, Jack and Tali. Even occasionally would receive a message from Garrus. Her thoughts stutter at his name causing a strange feeling to fill her. But before she could explore the feeling, Kaidan is sitting across from her looking rather good in his civilian clothing. He’s wearing black jeans and a button up shirt, which seems to have filled out rather nicely from the slight flex of his bicep.
“Sorry to keep you waiting Jas,” He says with a smirk and a casual roll of his shoulder. “Traffic and I had to sign some documents before I left the base. He looks around the busy restaurant and waves a waitress over. “Two steaks, medium rare with mashed potatoes on the side.” He smirks, darting a gaze towards Jasmine’s amused face. “A beer for me and a long island iced tea.”
As the waitress takes their order, she leans forward resting her elbows on the table and her hand tucked under her chin. “Ordering for me, Alenko?” She says with a drawl, amusement coloring her voice as she shakes her head. “Not that you’re wrong on what I wanted to eat but still,”
“I always know what you want to eat,” He says with a laugh and shakes his head. “Do you remember when I cooked breakfast for you and a steak before…” He pauses, gaze softening a bit. “You know, you look really good.” He checks her out in an attempt to change the subject. “Being a civilian looks good on you,”
She makes a face at him and shakes her head sitting back as the waitress places their drinks in front of them. While they waited for their food, the two went through various topics from catching up on each other’s recent exploits to their daily rituals, more so Shepard’s now that she operated in a civilian capacity. Having laughed at one of Shepard’s anecdotes where she undertook the difficulty that was maintaining her small garden at home, their conversation took an odd turn towards the rest of the crew.
“Have you heard from anyone else in a while?” Jasmine asked while her gaze was outward towards the window. In her view she could see the night lights of the city illuminate what would otherwise be dark yet crowded streets. From teenagers socializing with their friends to people dressed for commerce seemingly celebrating a successful deal. She was absent-mindedly thinking about how ‘ordinary’ her life had become. Feeling content and happy, her attention returned to Kaiden who was mid-sentence, “...James has always been rough around the edges. But I know I can depend on him when necessary. I’ve only heard whispers and murmurings about Liara… some of them are rumours while others seem to be just stories of her own exploits.”
The red-haired woman nodded and smiled, her eyes landing on the medium rare steak placed in front of her, “Thank you!” Jasmine said, beaming with delight and practically salivating at the plate, “What about Joker?”
Kaiden said his thanks to the waitress before answering the inquiry, “Well… he’s.. The same old Joker we know. Though he appeared to be having an issue a few weeks ago, finding a slight sharp pain in his left leg, even when he uses his crutches. Nevertheless, he’s making light of the situation as he normally does.”
While they ate, the two would continue going through the list of their crew before finally Garrus’ name was brought up, “I haven’t heard from Garrus in a long time… I was just wondering what he’s been up to since we all parted ways.” Despite her best efforts, Shepard continued to try and take in everything Kaiden had been telling her. The thought of Garrus though, his well-being most especially seemed to stick to the back of her mind. Even after they moved on to other topics, they somehow managed to find themselves conversing about pets, yet she made a note to try and look the Turian up later on.
She’s sipping her drink, semi-lost in her thoughts as she listens to Kaidan recount a few of his missions as a Spectre. She couldn’t really deny that her thoughts are filled with a certain Turian. A snap brings her back to the present as Kaidan lowers his hand from the front of Jasmine’s face. “Earth to Shep…?” He raises an eyebrow, “So, where did you just go?” He asks, gesturing towards her. “You’ve been lost in thought for the past…” He lifts his wrist and looks at the time on his omni-tool. “An hour?”
“Sorry Kaidan,” She gives him a half smile and runs her hand lightly over her face.
“You should be, you owe me that much to give me your full attention…” There is something in his voice that makes her jerk her head up and look at him.
“You were thinking of Garrus, weren’t you?” There was a crooked smile on his face and a small flash of pain. “You know, I” He swallows a gulp of his beer, fingers sliding up and down along the glass as he rips the label off it. “Had always thought there was something going on between the two of you.” He shakes his head and leans back in his seat.
She draws back, hands moving to cross over her chest in a somewhat defensive posture. “What is that supposed to mean? Or are you referring to your accusation that I had cheated on you when you were in the hospital?” Her brows furrow and she shakes her head. “I told you that there was nothing going on between Garrus and I, he’s my best friend Kaidan. You of all people should have known that.”
Kaidan’s eyebrow goes up and he lets out a pained sigh. “And you’re lying to yourself.” He holds up a hand the moment she opens her mouth. “Frankly, Jasmine the moment Garrus joined us on the Normandy, it was clear he was your favorite and was always on your squad.”
“Kaidan, I'm a vanguard having a sniper on my back makes sense so yes he’s been a permanent fixture.” She says rather defensively.
“Oh yes, Ashley was pretty handy with a sniper rifle too, you know.” He says prudently, eyes narrowed. “And if I remember correctly, so was that Drell, Thane?” He smirks, “And of course James…”
Jasmine’s mouth opens and closes as she tries to counter her reasoning for always having Garrus on her team. “Look...I…”
Kaidan’s hand just goes up, forestalling her excuses. “Don’t. Look, everyone on the ship knew that you and Garrus were in love with each other.” He continues. “It took me a while to see it, but it was plain as day when I saw you both on Horizon.” He sighs, tired suddenly, one hand reaching up to lightly rub his temples. “I’ve got a headache, so I’m going to head back to my hotel. I’ll see you later.” He gets up and sets a credit chit down on the table. “Look...Just...be honest with yourself okay? You owe it to yourself.”
“I..” Her mouth snaps closed as he walks away before she could even formulate a response. “Well. Fuck.” She grumbles, moving to stand up and make her way out of the restaurant.
She’s holding a controller between her hands, her focus on the video game on her big screen TV. “So, Kaidan said something kinda funny.”
Joker’s voice comes from her omni-tool. “Oh? What did Kaidan say? Also, don’t forget to grab more ammo!” He calls out, and in the background the same music from the video game on her screen is playing.
“That Garrus and I are in love with each other.”
There is silence.
“Joker?”
“Uh..” Joker’s voice stalls as his avatar on her screen had stopped moving.
“No shit, Sherlo-!” He cuts himself off as an enemy on the opposite team sniped him, “What the-!” He stops himself as he watches the kill cam, “Fuck! I didn’t realize quick scoping was a thing still. It’s twenty-fucking-one eighty eight, who the hell still quick scopes!” With a scoff, Joker returned his attention to Shepard, “Oh… uh sorry. But as I said, no shit Sherlock.” Before he could continue though, Shepard sighed and continued, “I mean, we naturally get along together and he’s a damn good soldier to have at my six. He’s certainly attractive too for a Turian but even if we did manage to hook up in that way can Turians and Humans even have sex… and even before that do you think he’d even have to feel the same way despite how familiar and close we are?”
Joker’s voice chat went very, very silent. She looked down at her omni-tool with a narrowed gaze, “Joker? Joker, are you listening to me? Hello…?” Almost immediately after she spoke the last word, a beep sounded from her wrist showing a notification that Joker sent her a direct message. Joker ends the call immediately, the sound of the disconnect makes it evident to her. Once she was alone, she opened the video file revealing a Turian male and a female human bearing the resemblance of her and Garrus having sex, “What the fuck… does everyone think there was something going on between us?”
Garrus
He checks himself in the mirror, turning his face this way and that. The scarring had gone down, just leaving rough ridges along his plates and mandible. He had gotten his colony markings redone the royal blue bright and clean against his plates. His eye moves to the visor debating whether or not to keep it on or remove it. He could admit that he doesn’t exactly remember the last time he took it off, but then he’d belying to himself. It was the end of the Reaper war and everyone had thought that Jasmine Shepard was dead, buried somewhere in the rubble of Earth and a Reaper.
It was after the moment the Normandy crew had given him the name plate with her name to place on the memorial wall. He refused to put it on, refusing to believe that she was dead. He had retreated to the safety of the Main Battery and pulled his visor off and scratched her name on the inside.
He remembered that everyone had looked to him to get them off the nameless planet the ship had crashed on and the grueling weeks that it had taken. He counted his blessings that he and Tali did not starve and they managed to make it back to civilization before the dextro rations had run out.
Shaking his head from those dark thoughts, knowing that the next memory would have been Jasmine laying in a hospital bed recovering. He sucks in a deep breath as he hears footsteps behind him.
“Garrus, you look fine! Now just go on your date before you're late!” Solana’s dual toned voice comes from behind him. He frowns at her and turns running a nervous hand over his fringe.
“This is a horrible idea,” He grumbles, crossing his arms across his chest as he raises a brow plate at his younger sister. She just shakes her head at him before moving to adjust the fold of his collar. His shirt pulled down just enough that his bare neck was visible. Mainly to show the lack of a bond mark and marking him single and eligible.
“Just go! Althaia is just your type! Trust me!” She chirps happily, his gaze noting the mischievous glint in her eyes.
“Fine.” He says turning to head out the door. His black and silver suit contrasting nicely with his plates and the blue colony markings on his face.
The restaurant was crowded but he managed to make his way to the hostess. Before he could even open his mouth a Turian woman turned to grab his arm. “Garrus! Ah I mean Legatus Vakarian!” He turns to stare at the turian woman. Copper plates, a very slender build, vibrant green eyes and pale green colony markings.
“Althaia?” He says rather slowly, his eyes glance at her own with their green hue but all his mind could think about was a familiarity about the Turian that he chose to deny. Garrus cleared his throat before continuing, “Just… Garrus, is alright.” He nodded to her.
Althaia seemed surprised by the correction but nodded, “Alright, er Garrus. It’s a pleasure to meet you. Your sister’s description of you doesn’t do it justice now that I can see you in person.” She chuckles as she turns to the hostess who would give them a seat close to the door, next to an adjacent window. Garrus pulled out the chair for Althaia, ensuring she sat before pushing it in and then taking own seat, “My sister didn’t really mention much about you… but you are quite beautiful as well.” Garrus returned the compliment with his best attempt at a whole-hearted tone.
As the date went on, the two would begin to talk about various topics from favourite weapons to past times, to hobbies… all of which Garrus attempted to be engaged with the conversation. His attempts were seemingly noticed and appreciated but they really didn’t hit home until the topic of Garrus’ old crew came up.
“Your sister told me of your different missions and adventures on board the Normandy. That must’ve been quite an experience with so many different crew aboard from different walks of life.” Garrus was taken by surprise with the change in topic but simply nodded, “Yeah… well it was certainly never a dull moment there. From Wrex’s forwardness to Liara’s curiosity, all the way to even comparing rifles and sniper experience with others on board like Ashley and Thane…”
Athaia remained silent for most of his tangent, taking notice that while throughout the date Garrus seemed distant but as soon as the thoughts of the Normandy were brought up, his eyes would light up with nostalgia and fond memories. Garrus continued to talk about the different crew members aboard, some of the missions they went on ranging from close calls with the Geth to fighting off Thorian Creepers on Feros to gathering allies in the galaxy against the Reapers.
After regaling her with tales of his adventures aboard the Normandy, Althaia simply nodded, “It must’ve been one hell of a time going across the galaxy like that. Especially when being led by Shepard, right?” She said rather softly at first. At the mention of Shepard’s name, Garrus paused and blinked before clearing his throat, “Yes… Shepard… was an amazing soldier, a dependable person in the field… and one hell of a shooter. Always preferring actions to words, being able to do what needed to be done…”
Althaia chuckled as he described her before leaning her head on her hands, “You sound smitten with her.” She says softly as Garrus blinked again and cleared his throat, “N-No, I mean well, I-...” Althaia’s eyes were telling as she continued, “Look, Garrus… I’ve only known you for the entirety of this date. But it’s clear that there isn’t a connection between us at all. Your whole demeanor changed once the Normandy and Shepard were mentioned.”
“I-...” Before Garrus could try to defend himself, Althaia shook her hand and motioned for him to stop, “It’s clear you still have unresolved feelings for her and/or the time you spent on the Normandy. In my honest opinion, you should be honest with yourself and how you feel about her. You at least owe that to yourself.” With that Althaia had stood up from her chair and eyed Garrus empathetically, “It was a pleasure to meet you Legatus Vakarian.” She left a credit chip for her meal before walking off leaving Garrus relatively speechless.
The following day Garrus was holding a controller in his hand playing a shooter game. On the other end of the omni-call tool was Joker playing as well. Garrus sighed as he was sniped by an enemy.
“You alright there Garrus? You’re playing worse than usual…” Joker joked over the omni-tool to Garrus’ dismay. The Turian sighed again before replying, “So… my sister set me up on a date…”
As Joker managed to pick off another enemy with his rocket launcher, the human would press his x button to switch the launcher with a sniper rifle, “Oh? And how’d that go?” A grumble echoed from Joker’s omni-tool, “It went… well… I mean… amongst other things, my dick might be broken.”
The remark was said so pointedly and suddenly that Joker had spat out the sip of his soda he drank, coughing and laughing from the other end of the call, “Wha- What?” He called out trying to regain his composure.
“Yeah, I think… I mean, she was an attractive Turian… but during the date… I just felt nothing. She also said some… weird things too. Like how when I talk about the crew of the Normandy, that I was more excited and when I talk about Shepard, I seemed smitten.”
At this point Joker had killed three more enemy players before a fourth would snipe him, “What the fuck!” He shouts as he watches the kill cam, this time seeing that someone three sixty no-scoped him with a sniper rifle, “Who the fuck no scopes now in a game that’s from twenty-fucking one eighty eight!”
Clearing his throat, Joker had a moment of deja-vu before continuing, “Sorry… maybe you just aren’t attracted to Turian women anymore. What else did your date say?” The pilot asked as he respawned and began to scavenge for ammo and weapons again. Garrus picked off another enemy front line player as he replied, “She mentioned that it was clear that I’m totally smitten with Shepard.”
There is silence.
“Joker?” Garrus called out before continuing to shoot up another enemy player.
There was momentary silence that remained from Joker’s end before Garrus heard an audible snort from his end, “Man… you’re denser than a Krogan trying to figure out domestic affairs…”
The comparison made Garrus hesitate before he shook his head, “What? That doesn’t even… I mean even if we are, that does mean we would be able to get together, Spirits, I mean can Humans and Turians even have sex, would she even want to with me? I mean we get along well enough…”
“Stop, stop, stop… Oh for the love of…” Joker said quickly with an exasperated sigh, cutting Garrus off. Another audible sound in the form of a sigh could be heard from Joker’s end before Garrus would get a direct message from the man shortly before he disconnected from the game and the call.
When Garrus opened the DM, he’d see a video file of a Turian male lookalike of himself having sex with a human female lookalike of Shepard, “What the-? Has everyone thought this beforehand?”
Shepard
She closes her omni-tool with a deep sigh. “Wow…” She blinks in surprise as she looks at the clock. Had she been masturbating that long? The time difference says that yes she has been. But at least one of her questions has been answered that a sexual relationship between a human and a turian was possible. Before she could even formulate her thoughts on that, let alone entertain her idea of her and Garrus. Her vid screen pings a video call and Liara’s name flashes on her omni-tool causing her to quickly pull her shirt back over her head while tugging the blanket over her naked lower half.
“Oh, hey Liara what’s up?” She attempts to organize the tangles of her hair.
“Were you sleeping?” Liara’s amused expression fills her screen as the Asari woman smirks at the camera. “You must really be enjoying retirement.”
Jasmine wrinkles her nose at Liara and shrugs. “I stayed up last night watching one of those horror movies.” She waves a hand dismissively before shifting her attention towards the Asari.
“So, what do I owe the pleasure of this call?” She says finally lowering her hands from her hair.
“Oh, just wanted to make sure you’re coming to the party this weekend? I figure it’ll be the perfect time to get the old crew together.” Liara’s expression shows that she’s up to something but Jasmine’s head really wasn’t fully there considering her earlier activities. “I’ve checked that your apartment on the Citadel was intact and sent supplies there.” There was a nagging feeling in the back of Jasmine’s head but once again she ignored it.
“Sounds good. I’ll see you guys there?”
“Looking forward to it, Jasmine.” Liara’s voice was very smug for some odd reason.
Garrus
Garrus had taken a few moments to catch his breath. Having been watching the videos Joker sent, he lost track of the time, “Hm… I guess Humans and Turians are possible…” The Turian sighs as he takes a moment to bask, sitting at desk, the Turian manages to make his way to the kitchen where he’d get himself something to drink and rehydrate. Once he had his glass, he sat down at the counter where guests normally would sit when he had entertained them with his own cooking.
A moment of peace and quiet would pass before the sound of his omni-tool rang, the caller ID showing Liara’s name, her channel she used when she was making regular inquiries rather than anything related to her as the Shadow Broker.
“Garrus here…” He said as he took another sip from his cup, positioning his omni-tool to show only his upper half. Liara’s voice rang crystal clear as she began speaking, “Garrus. Just making a last minute check for your rsvp to that Normandy reunion party.” She smiled warmly, her eyes however, showed she was thinking about something in the background of her mind, “Ah, yes… I’ll be there.”
“Good, everyone wants to catch up with each other, yourself included. So make sure you're not late, alright?” She maintained her smile but Garrus knew that something felt off. Still, he didn’t want to disappoint the old crew, “I’ll be there, on time. I’m looking forward to catching up with the others…” He said as he downed the rest of his drink.
“Perfect. See you there, Legatus.” Liara said with a gaze that showed she wasn’t going to take ‘no’ for an answer.
“Yeah, see you there.” He said before the call disconnected.
Shepard
Jasmine arrives at the apartment, finding Liara and Sam decorating. Or well making the place look homey and lived in.
“I can’t believe you would rather stay on Earth instead of your apartment here,” Sam says with a tinge of envy in her voice. “This place is gorgeous!” She gushes as she darts over to give Jasmine a hug.
“I can’t believe it’s still intact after what happened to the Citadel.” She counters quickly giving Sam a hug before she moves to the large picture window. Looking out at the view of the busy Strip below.
“So who else is coming?” She asks, turning to look at Liara.
“Oh just about everyone.” She says sitting on the couch and pulling a small throw pillow onto her lap.
“Tali and Reeger are coming in from Rannoch, Jack and James are coming together too, seems the two got really close when he was tasked with escorting her and her students back to the new Grissom Academy.” She hums thoughtfully, seeing the curiosity in Jasmine’s eyes. “Kolyat said he’s stopping by between his shifts at C-Sec…” Her gaze narrows briefly, as Jasmine’s gaze dances away. “Garrus will also be coming too, I made sure to keep track when he left Palaven.”
Aha. There it is. Liara throws Sam a knowing look, smirking over Jasmine’s head as she catches the slight crinkle and stiffening of the human woman’s shoulders.
“When was the last time you spoke to Garrus?” Sam says in innocent curiosity taking a seat next to Liara.
Jasmine huffs and hums thoughtfully looking at her omni-tool. “A few weeks ago? Or maybe last month or so? We were planning to play that new video game together but with the time difference between Earth and Palaven…” She waves a hand and sighs. “Plus he’s still working, and doing those calibrations.” She makes air quotes at the word before lifting a shoulder up in a shrug.
It was clear to both Liara and Sam that Jasmine was trying really hard not to be bothered by it but failing miserably as the woman quickly averts her face from their gaze. Standing up and walking around the living room.
“I’ll put my things away and catch up with you two later.” She says giving the two a wave of her hand before she makes her way up the stairs towards the master bedroom.
Garrus
Garrus had prepped himself to meet up with the rest of the crew. Sporting a Turian-equivalent of a button up shirt and some good pants, he felt like he needed to wear at least something nice for a good old reunion with the crew. On his way out of his hotel, the Legatus walked out into the Presidium and looked around. Not a moment later, a large hand patted his shoulder, “Hey, if it ain’t the Legatus himself?”
Garrus turned suddenly to see Jack and James grinning at him, “James… Jack, good to see you again.” He said as his posture went from defensive to relaxed, “Are you two strolling through here before we all meet up or…?”
Jack chuckled as she shook her head, “Well we were planning on it, but Meathead over here wanted to walk around the Presidium to ‘spend time together’.” She snickered in air quotes to James’ eye roll, “Nah, Chica over here secretly enjoys it when we go on outings.” He smirked before turning his attention back to Garrus.
“Say, when was the last time you and Lola spoke to each other?” James’ question immediately caused Garrus to stiffen, “Oh ah, a few weeks… maybe a month ago at most. We had been planning to play some games together but the time differences between Earth and Palaven made it difficult.”
James and Jack gave each other a knowing look before chuckling, “Alright then. Chica and I are gonna’ look around a bit more, but we’ll see you at her place, yeah?”
“Roger…” Garrus sighed before waving and allowing the two to walk around more. The Turian saw their expression but decided to push it out of his mind while he walked to the apartment.
The Setup
The party starts similarly to the party they had right before they took the fight to the Reapers. Music blaring, people mingling and talking and she’s avoiding Garrus. The moment her gaze landed on him, her cheeks flushed bright pink and her gaze quickly darted away to look elsewhere. Her thoughts of the Garrus look alike in that video that Joker had sent her.
A few more drinks in her, she finds herself sitting on the couch between Garrus and James, a bottle laying on it’s side on the table in front of them. “C’mon guys, aren’t we a little bit too old to play this game?” She says with a laugh, her cheeks flushed red as her gaze darted towards Garrus before darting to look away.
“C’mon Jasmine, don’t be a prude! It’ll be fun!” Jack says with a mischievous grin on her face. “It’s your turn!”
Jasmine frowns at the woman and then looks around the group and sighs. “Fine,” She spins the bottle and watches with bated breath as it spins and...slowly stops pointing towards Garrus. Before she could even do anything, she found herself face to face with Garrus. His hands rested on her arms. Hers rested on his chest as she looked up into his face.
“Now kith!” James says elbowing Jasmine hard in the back, knocking her forward into Garrus’ arms. Her fingers slid up, hooking lightly into the lip of his cowl as she lightly pulled him down towards her level. Closing her eyes tightly, she pressed her lips against his mouth plates and then pulled away. “There!” She exclaims hurriedly before moving to stand up and dart away from the group. “I...need some air, yeah some...air.” She lets out a soft cough and tugs her tank top down a bit, giving the group a wave of her hand and nearly bolting out of the living room.
Garrus was stunned at the feel of her soft lips against his mouth plates. Only being brought out of his stupor when he feels a hand lightly press against his back.
“Well, aren’t you going to go after her?” Kaidan says, slapping Garrus on the back once more.
“No hard feelings Garrus. Believe me, I know how you feel...just...treat her right.” The human biotic gives him a crooked grin and jerks his thumb towards the door that Jasmine had fled through.
Not needing any other encouragement, he gets up and follows behind her. Not hearing the collective relieved sigh from the group of friends in the living room.
“About fucking time.” Joker says heavily leaning back against his chair. “I swear those two near drove me insane the past few days.” He lets out a scoffing laugh, pulling his hat firmly on his head. “So Liara, how many times did the two watch that video?”
Liara smirks and pulls up her omni-tool. “Let’s see, Jasmine watched it…twenty times since you sent it to her…” There was a crack of laughter from Jack before James shushed her. “And Garrus watched it a total of…” She pauses, an eyebrow going up. “Wow Garrus you really must have liked that video…”
“C’mon Liara don’t hold out on us!” Joker presses, leaning close in an attempt to peer at her omni-tool.
“Fine, he watched it a total of fifty times since you sent him the video.”
He finds her leaning against the balcony, looking up at the fake night sky of the Citadel night cycle. He knows she hears him by the way her shoulders scrunch up just a tiny bit before she shifts, a bright eye turning to look at him and she relaxes.
“Hey Big Guy…” Her voice had a hint of shyness in it. Teeth lightly biting into the soft flesh of her bottom lip. “It’s been a while huh?” Her gaze tracks him as he moves to stand close to her.
“We just saw each other inside,” He says dryly, moving to rest his arms on the railing as he darts a quick glance at her. “You remember, when you kissed me?”
She swats his arm playfully before she sighs, seeming to shift closer to him. “Very funny.” She counters but sighs. Her arm brushing lightly against his as she shifted too, leaning forward to rest her arms on the railing.
“You know...if you were a turian woman I would say that your fringe looks nice...and your waist looks...really supportive?” He shifts even closer to her, one arm moving to lightly wrap around her waist in an attempt to pull her closer. Suddenly feeling shy himself he looks down as she shifts in his arms moving to face him. “Ah...Jasmine..” He lets out a small cough, “Is this...okay?”
At her nod, he leans down, mouth plates slightly open as he takes in her scent. “Let...let’s try that kiss thing again.” Her voice was soft, the tip of her tongue darts out to lightly lick her bottom lip as her eyes met his. At his nod, she raises herself up slowly on her toes and presses her lips against his again. This time, she doesn’t pull away, her tongue lightly teasing his bottom plate before his tongue darted out to brush lightly against his.
The contact with their tongues was just the spark they needed. A soft growl came from Garrus’ chest as he quickly bent down and picked Jasmine up and held her against his chest. Head angled to deepen the kiss as his much longer tongue explored the confines of her mouth. Swallowing each mewling whimper that came from her lips. He only pulls away to take a breath of air and press his forehead against hers.
“Room?” It was a loaded question considering it would mean having to walk past the party to rush to her bedroom on the upper floor.
“Yeah.” As Garrus held her in his arms, he’d sigh and nod, “Well better get it over now rather than later…” He said motioning to the rowdy group still in her living room. As Garrus turned with her in his arms, he’d walk closer to the door before poking his head around the corner to see them all quickly turn their heads back to the television that had been turned on. The Turian squinted at the group before he’d quickly round the corner now with Shepard still in his grasp, walking quickly. The group purposefully waited for them to get almost to the staircase before Jack would shout out an audible, “Wooo! Get on with it!” The others turned their eyes to them before they gave an affirmative, ‘DO IT’ gaze at the two of them. Garrus quickly raced up the stairs with Shepard still being held in his arms, the last thing they heard before the door closed was Joker’s voice, “About fucking time you two!”
Jasmine’s face was pressed against Garrus’ neck, shoulders shaking as she struggled to contain her laughter. “Why haven’t we done this before?” She queries softly as Garrus gently places her on the bed before standing back to eye her. The Turian’s response was simply a hum for a moment, “Mmm, I mean, I didn’t know if Turians and Humans could until Joker sent me a link…”
Shepard glanced up at Garrus with a quirked brow, “Wait… Joker sent you a link too…? Was it about our look-alikes going at it?”
“Yes…” The two of them gave each other a knowing look before glancing at the door until Garrus cleared his throat, hand sliding up over his fringe before he sits down next to her. “But it doesn’t matter now does it?” He continues, shifting to face her, his hand moving to wrap around hers.
“Good point,” She says softly, her gaze looking at their joint hands before her gaze moves up to meet his. “So..should...we?”
“We should…” He replies almost immediately as his hand raises to snake around her waist before he slowly lowered himself to kiss her again. His mouth plates pressed against her much softer lips and in that moment the Turian was given a chance to take in her smell more, “I… like how you smell…” He said before his hand raised to move higher up from her abdomen. As they kissed deeply, her hands moved to press against his chest, feeling the toned torso beneath the shirt.
The motions were slow, less deliberate but more along the lines of exploring the unknown. The two had taken off their shirts while they kissed, breaking away to finally toss the apparel in the corner of her room. She had taken the time to trace his body, her fingers trailing up and down his arms and then his chest, before finally moving a hand lower to his waist.
Garrus’ gaze shifted from her green eyes to her facial features before finally a hand moved to her chest, still concealed somewhat by her black generic bra. The two hadn’t necessarily dressed for the occasion having been set up with this as a reunion of the old Normandy crew and yet everything felt right for both of them. Each took in the other’s bodies, basking in them with a certain need but at the same time showing some caution and care when exploring each other.
The Turian’s hands trailed around her waist, one rising to her chest, fondling her left breast with care before kissing her again. His talon hooked itself against the bra to pull it up and away. With one seamless movement, Garrus took a deep breath and began massaging her chest tenderly, a talon moved to run along her smooth skin.
“Nnngh… careful with those…” She teased with a whimper as she felt Garrus’ touch, indicating his rather sharp talons. His immediate response was to pull away, but instead he simply nodded, “I will… though… odd that you trust me to snipe enemies at your back… yet my talon needs more care.” His retort was given with a playful tone, his tongue darting out to lick her nipple, finding it stiffen at his touch. His mouth plates moved closer until she could feel his pointed teeth nibble against her areola, “Ah-... C-Careful…” She whispered as she felt the sharpness, the moan escaping her lips however indicated that she enjoyed what he was doing.
As they became more familiar with each other’s touch, she’d eventually tug at the waist of his pants, whimpering for him to remove them as she removed her own bottoms to show a pair of black panties. Without much other words said, Garrus took his pants off, revealing his lower half where at his groin would be the plates that protected his length and the slit that allowed for an opening.
Although she had seen the slit in the video from the Garrus look-alike, this was her first time ever seeing something similar up close, and so when she reached for it, to press her fingers into the opening, Garrus jumped slightly, “W-Woah! You don’t just do that to a Turian, Shepard…” He said before she pulled away, “Then… how does it…?” Garrus’ only response was an apologetic sigh, “It’ll slide out when I’m… you know…”
A low hum escapes her lips as she smiles, “Mmm, I see…” Shifting over, she straddled Garrus’ lap, hands moving to wrap around his cowl before pressing her lips against his mouth plates again. As she kissed him, her ass grinded slowly against his protective plates, “We should’ve done this… sooner…” She whispered, her face against his neck. As she broke away, she’d feel the prodding of his length against her ass, the whole shaft rubbing up against her panties between her legs, “Yeah, we should’ve…” Garrus said breathily as his dick finally erected outwards fully. He shifts his hips enough that his hot length pressed against the thin fabric separating her entrance and his cock.
Her moans grew louder despite her best attempts to quiet them, knowing that the rest of the crew was probably still downstairs. Shepard’s eyes closed as she halted her movements before her hand lowered to shift the fabric aside and lead the tip of his length to her entrance, slowly sinking down until he was fully sheathed inside her.
“Nnngh, feels…” Before she could say another word, Garrus had slowly began shifting his hips to thrust inside her, “Jas…” Garrus’ voice was quiet, lowered and whispered into her ear as he felt her squeeze against his length tightly, “I wasn’t expec-...” She cuts herself off with a gleeful moan as he thrusts slightly quicker now, his tongue extending out teasing her nipples once again.
“Garrus… fuck…” She said quietly but with every movement from the Turian, she could feel herself building up more and more pleasure. Her moans soon became louder than they liked, and so Garrus did the only thing he could think of. He pressed his mouth plates against her lips, his tongue sliding into her mouth, twisting and feeling around her own to quiet the sounds she was making.
“G-Garrus… close…” She sounded out with a muffled whisper against him, “M-Me too…” She was about to scream out his name before he’d ensure she was quiet by giving her more tongue with their kiss, her muffled sounds of moans, whimpers, and finally reaching her high silenced through the entire time that she reached her climax. With her walls tightening, clamping around his length, Garrus also found his release, his dick twitching with every shot as he came. The two pressed against each other as they both found the peak of ecstasy with their respective climaxes before Garrus lowered his back to the bed, Shepard on top of him, just laying there happily with the two still coupled together.
After
The conversation afterwards was simple enough, considering she had moved to Earth and he was currently residing in Palavan the two had opted to see if their relationship could sustain a long distant relationship. But that was quickly tossed out the window a week into it. Her house was being sold, her things being shipped to the apartment in the Citadel where Garrus had also opted to move too as well.
When the last of the Garrus’ essentials had been transported to the Citadel apartment, the Turian had met with Shepard outside so they could bring all of his stuff in, “Hm…” Garrus hummed, eyeing Jasmine up and down with a curious gaze. Her green eyes met his watchful look before smirking, “If you want some more you’re going to have to wait until we’re done unpacking all your stuff, you know.”
“Pft… that can wait, I’m just thinking about how we were thinking about long-distance… and yet light years away from each other was too much to ask, at least for me.” Garrus laughed at the thought before lifting another box inside, “That being said… I’m glad you agreed to move in with me.” The Turian nudges Jasmine with his elbow before walking into the apartment, “I’m glad you agreed too, Big Guy.” The woman smiles and lifts up the other box, bringing it into the apartment, closing the door on the way in.
