Luke quietly opened the door to the bathroom. It was hot in there, the steam fogging up the mirror. Luke knew he had to make this quick if he wanted the camera to capture the prank before his phone’s screen fogged up as well. He didn’t know what reaction he would get from Din. Of course, they’d showered together before, but definitely never fully clothed.
They’ve been together for 5 years and living together for 3. Din was used to Luke’s random antics and enjoyed watching Luke sneak to play harmless pranks on Leia, Han, and friends alike. He always succeeded in bringing smiles to people’s faces. So when TikTok rose in popularity, Luke made it a habit of saving all kinds of couple trends and pranks to entertain himself and Din in quarantine. Din wasn’t as captivated by the app. Though that’s not to say he didn’t enjoy some of the challenges Luke would ask him to do with him or get a laugh out of videos Luke sent him.
Luke wasn’t trying to be sneaky but he also didn’t want Din to suspect he was filming a TikTok since he wanted a genuine reaction. He set the volume all the way down on his phone so that Din couldn’t hear the timer countdown. Though inevitably, Din heard Luke setting something down on the sink counter, not bothering with peeking through the shower curtain since Luke often came into the bathroom to get ready for bed around this time.
“Luke?” Din called over the sound of the water.
Luke set the phone against the cup that held their toothbrushes and pressed record. He approached the shower and stuck only his head in, taking in the clean smell of Din’s shampoo. Not being able to stop himself from eyeing Din up and down, he smiled but quickly gave Din his puppy eyes not wanting to give the wrong idea.
The mixed messages had Din slightly confused and he replied a simple “What’s up?”
Luke sighed “Sometimes I just wanna hang out with you”
He figured Din shouldn’t be too surprised since he had been particularly clingy this week. Din gave a tilt of the head, only slightly frowning but the corners of his mouth quirking up, “Okay”
Luke’s eyes grew wide along with his smile, “Okay” but he stood there suddenly realizing that he was gonna be stepping into the shower with socks on.
Din stood there expectantly, with a smile to match Luke’s.
“You gonna come hang out?” Din followed, amused now and thinking he had caught onto what Luke was up to...but he wasn’t. Luke suddenly flashed a devilish smile and nodded as he pulled the curtain only enough to slide a leg in. Din’s eyes widened as he realized Luke was definitely coming in still fully clothed.
Din let out an exasperated “Okay... Luke..” Causing a short giggle to erupt from Luke.
Din was in between disappointment and disbelief as Luke continued to get more wet.
“With the clothes on?! Babe…” Din said with a laugh.
Finally getting a good look up and down of Luke simply standing in front of him, “No that’s so grimy, cmon” Luke took a step forward, his clothes beginning to drench, to bring his arms around Din’s neck.
“Take the clothes off!” Din groaned in discomfort but still visibly amused. Luke laughed now, pressing closer into Din’s space “No”
They were both laughing now, Luke’s clothes clinging to him and his hair matted down. “Yes!” Din urged, reaching for the hem of Luke’s shirt to start pulling it off. “You’re giving me anxiety, it’s all wet” he complained lightheartedly. “You’re fully clothed”, was drowned out by Luke pushing them both farther under the stream of water continuing to douse them both.
Seeing as he wasn’t going to win this one since Luke wasn’t letting him peel the drenched clothing off of him, Din let his head hang low in a defeated moan. “No, this is terrible”
Amused, Luke peered down and began wiggling his toes and lightly stomping on the shower tile with his socked feet, making a horrid squelching sound.
“YOU’RE WEARING SOCKS?!” Din exclaimed. That was definitely crossing the line. “You fucking psycho!” He began pulling away, untangling Luke and his wet clothes from him.
“Get away!” Din nudged at Luke’s chest, but they were both laughing.
Luke peeked his head out the side of the curtain making sure the gap was small enough that it wouldn’t reveal a naked Din to the recording phone. Though it had evidently stopped recording a while ago considering his screen was black. “What are you looking at?” Din asked, also peeking his head outside above Luke’s, eyes landing on the phone.
“I should’ve known,” Din said in mock betrayal, realizing this was another TikTok challenge. “Come here”
He pulled Luke back into the shower but out of the spray of the showerhead so he could rid Luke of his shirt, knowing he wasn’t going to protest him now that he had gotten what he wanted. Sure enough, Luke worked at taking off the rest of his clothes and let Din lather his hair with shampoo. Luke lathered his body with soap and finished rinsing off with Din hugging him from behind leaving a trail of kisses along his shoulder. He turned in the embrace, giving Din a quick kiss “I was gonna make it up to you” Luke smirked.
“Yeah?” Din asked, tucking his head under Luke’s placing wet kisses up his neck. “I’ve never gotten compensation for falling victim to your pranks” he joked, lightly pinching Luke’s side.
He laughed in response “Yeah well I figured, we’re already naked…” Looking at Din through his wet lashes.
“Can’t argue that” Din huffed relieved, almost as if he was reliving a couple of minutes ago when Luke’s clothes were uncomfortably clinging to his body.
Luke smirked and reached behind him to turn the shower off. “Come on”
