perhaps if this was a human romance movie, the sun would gently tickle crowley awake. this wasn't such a thing though, this was better. and not as cheesy.
the pale moonlight filtered through the blinds, basking the spacious room in a soft glow.
crowley turned his head to look at ferid who was wrapped up in silk sheets next to him.
the light illuminated his silver hair, mimicking a halo as it was fanned out around him.
a soft smile appeared on crowley's face as he watched his partner sleep.
or so he thought.
"awake already dear?", ferid said, his voice a little rough.
the silver haired vampire sat up, the sheets pooling in his lap, leaving his torso bare.
"how could i waste my time sleeping when i could use it to watch you?", crowley replied.
"aha that is a good argument...", ferid's lips quirked up and he leaned over to press a kiss to crowley's forehead before lying back down and burying his head in the crook of the other's neck.
the room was cool and it was quiet, only a faint whisper of the wind rustling the trees outside audible.
ferid had many estates but none had crowley feeling at home quite like this one.
he felt ferid's sharp nails trailing over his stomach as he stared up to the high ceiling.
these moments of peace and quiet were so rare these days, he truly treasured them.
he thought of ferid and how he went from trusting him, to losing that trust, to hating him, to pitying him, to tolerating him and eventually to loving him. or at least the vampire version of love. even though some of that hate never fully subsided.
ferid was an odd one, that was for sure but beneath all that eccentricity even he hid his own demons.
those offhand comments about getting killed and there being no point to life were not lost on crowley. sometimes he thinks ferid might be getting tired of immortality.
"what are you thinking about", ferid's voice ripped him from his thoughts.
"nothing... just you."
ferid hummed, he probably had an idea anyways.
eventually crowley's hand found ferid's and he raised it to press a light kiss to the back of his hand, intertwining their fingers afterwards.
ferid chuckled: "you can be so soft sometimes, it's incredible."
"look who's talking."
another chuckle.
ferid guided their hands to rest on crowleys stomach before kissing his neck, letting his sharp fangs graze over some spots.
"let's rest a bit more, shall we?"
