It was a beautiful night. As beautiful as any night could be in a wretched city like Baldurs Gate. Crisp air with not a single cloud to obscure the ever watching stars. And from where Ilvarel was perched he could barely make out the sound of people frolicking in one of the many taverns below. No doubt drinking their worries away and seeking a warm body to lose themselves with for the night. Perhaps in that way he was like them. Seeking someone to entertain him for the next few hours.

Thevior had no idea how his slavery had come to be in the first place. All that he could remember was waking up in a transporter, leaning against the sweaty shoulder of a man who told him he was a slave e now. He had been a little boy back then and at first he didn't believe the man, didn't want to believe him. But the moment the shuttle landed and Thevior was dragged out by the arm it was clear: he was no longer free.

Tarasha Euten, mother in all but blood to the Primarch of the Ultramarines, finds herself face to face with a monster. What happens if that monster's face sparks a maternal instinct that ignites at the news of her beloved son's death.
This is a branching AU where Euten extends a pitying hand instead of calling Curze a bastard (like the badass she is in canon.) More like snippets of life than a story. Some chapters will follow on from each other, some are stand alone.
