And Bruce laughed, actually laughed. He thought for a moment that he was either dreaming and this whole day has been too good to be true or that he had unfortunately passed away and is now in heaven. “It's mine actually.” Holding out a light blue mug with “The Daily Planet” in bright red lettering– wait he knows this cup, it's the cup that he thought he lost when he moved apartments a few years ago. Feeling a swirl of emotions, he’s unsure how he’s supposed to respond.
Choking on his own spit, Clark stammers out, “I-Is that mine?”
“What? No, Jason got it for me about 2 years ago for Father’s Day.” Bruce says, amused and a little confused, with an incredulous expression displayed on his face. He really was going crazy. Why would Batman take his cup and then lie about it?
Or Bruce figures out that he might like Clark, while the man in question has spent the last 4 years pining after him.
