She pushes her glasses back up her nose, eyes never moving from the spot on Rumi’s shoulder. Hm. They are, in fact, still there.
“Zoey,” Mira calls, keeping her voice low, not wanting to alert Rumi, because, quite frankly, she needs to talk to anyone else who isn't the source of the problem right now.
Zoey, thankfully, picks up on the tone in her voice, easily making her way over from across the compound, giving Mira a look. Mira just gestures for Zoey to get closer to her, and once Zoey is shoulder-to-shoulder with her, Mira gestures over toward Rumi.
There’s a pause.
“Huh,” Zoey decides, frowning. “That’s...” she trails off, waving a hand as she tilts her head to the side. “Different.”
“Something like that,” Mira agrees, crossing her arms over her chest. “Rumi has patterns.”
Zoey makes a noise. “Yeah. I guess so, huh?”
(or, mira and zoey discover rumi's patterns early and make it their life goal to...help)

Summary
Honestly, Mira can’t even imagine Rumi singing this with anyone else. It feels almost spontaneous, and yet inevitable, the give and take, the way they orbit around each other. Rumi was magnetic before, but with Zoey next to her it’s like her aura redoubles; Mira can feel how the crowd thrills with every teasing smile sent their way.
Zoey too fills the stage. Rumi’s reacting to her as much as she’s leading, and Zoey’s grin borders on something almost triumphant as they jostle shoulders and Rumi gives way to her. They’re singing to each other, they’re singing to the crowd, they’re—
They’re singing to her and oh, the attention is addictive.
Or: in which Mira falls in with married couple Rumi and Zoey and doesn't realize how far that is to fall.

Mira is a well-known choreographer. She moved out from her hometown to the lively Seoul and swore never to come back. The concept of a family stopped existing to her a long time ago.
When unavoidable circumstances make them cross their paths, they don't think a bond could form between them. Yet, it feels like strings of inyeon pulling them together.
With shattered paths and life struggles, can they keep each other close?

As if betrayal was choreography.
Or: my angsty take on the “Takedown” scene, where Mira and Zoey love Rumi (romantically, of course) too much and react differently, so fate decides that’s exactly the problem.
