Greed, Mother of Skrewts, Boss of the Devils Nest... this fic is HONESTLY unfiltered Greed propaganda, and from that battle in the Chamber onwards, I've been totally convinced. Keep scratching at those Bradley awards!!
Aside from him and Ling of course, Greed Fred and George is absolute GOLD. Oh the potential...
The whole get-that-rat Scabbers plot was SUCH a vibe, the Amestris gang is superior.
Harry and Ginny's relationship is also so precious here <33
Harry and Sirius is honestly the most comforting thing ever OML the poor boy is finally getting the love he needs. Sirius is such a vibe. Izumi, too - she is the queen ^^^
The Percy under Hughes subplot is also gorgeous.
The Golden Trio is also so dense despite all of the CLUES right in front of them... I adore them, keep working at that conspiracy board mls!! You'll get there... some day...
The Hawkeye and Mustang entrance literally had me screaming at my wall, no exagguration. THE QUEEN AND KING HAVE ENTEREEDEDEDED and Ed's nickname for Mustang still living on is killing me.
Ok but everything else aside, the SINGLE MOST important relationship in here is Ed and Hermione. I always admired Hermione smmmm, but canon just turned her passionateness into a joke. She did not deserve that. Ed is the GOAT for giving her the backing she needed, from Book 1 when Ron insulted her all the way to SPEW. I just LOVE their friendship inexplicably much asdfghjkl. Also I'm sure Ed looks SICK in those Hogwarts robes.The graveyard scene -- ULTIMATE TRAUMA DUMP, it was so cruel I loved it. GET OUT ENVYYY.

Summary
If Hawkeye was able to wheedle out of taking any of these on account of not having a flower vase, Roy should have followed her example instead of hauling the whole cart's worth up to his dingy apartment.
Exactly how little he uses most of his dishware is helpfully illustrated here. Painted with bright petals all around his kitchen and what passes as his living room (a couch). Honestly, not the portrait of his day-to-day he was expecting. Something more flattering, maybe.--
Roy is not exactly coping with recent events very well. The impulse purchase of a car full of flowers is probably evidence of that - and, unexpectedly, a great source of relief in the months to come.

PURE POETRY. It's like flowers were invented for the purpose of this fic.
It all ties in SO WELL - Roy keeps all his flavour, plus some extra trauma sprinkled in. This is basically canon. The flower meanings and random trauma spirals omgomg
Elicia is adorable <333 and yayyyy Hughes got a cameo!! (even if it was in the form of a gravestone (more trauma))
Also we love Madame Christmas and her girls!! Props to them for setting Roy on this whole flower tangent in the first place -

If this was May's Expedition (if she had a camera crew and not just her imagination) this would probably be in slow motion: a terrific leap over the water, the shock as she clocks that green is hair and not a clump of leaves, the high-pitched yell that starts as she tries to scramble backwards midair. And Drew's shout as she barrels into him, sending both of them into the forest mulch.
What no documentary could ever capture is the way she sees stars on impact, or the feeling of twigs scrapping her knees. There's a beat of silence, like every Pokémon in these woods stopped to watch this trainwreck. Something bonks the top of May's head and a second later follows the unmistakable plonk of a Pokéball hitting forest soil.
Drew spits out a twig (it almost feels like he aimed that at her).
"Well, well - May. What a -" he pauses to gag on more debris, "- surprise."

Traveling solo has been going great. Amazing. Super-duper awesome. May's never been better! Drew's the one being weird; he's been super nice lately - and suspiciously keen to win this Bug-Catching Contest.
