And a steadfast gaze, eyes fixed somewhere off to the left. The image was power. Masculinity. Something to be desired."

Summary
There have been many tales about what lurks beneath the infamous Opera Popular. None of these accounts are true, if only because of the nature of human imagination and invention. A tendency to take what is known and construct a fiction in the gaps. This account is no different, taking from many sources and creating something fantastical from them. The discerning observer will note many things about what is about to be told: the names don’t match the ones in the original context, the roles seem shifted away from what one would assume, and there are, indeed, quite a few running threads and plots if you dare to see what this work has stolen from greater minds. This work can be enjoyed just as thoroughly with this additional knowledge as without.
The commonality all of these narratives have are this: a man, shunned by society and living in secret beside a house devoted to music; his heart enraptured by both song and another, driven to compose and create with them in mind in the hopes his love might be answered. A call towards the beauty and light of the world despite the cruelties he has witnessed.
Even so, as was said before, this is no true account of events previously made. This is the tale of the Serpent’s Song. -

Summary
The world hadn’t ended, and that was something Aziraphale was still wrapping his head around. The past 24 hours alone had changed so much about what he fundamentally understood. He had gone against Heaven itself after so long trying to defend and serve in its name. He didn’t know where to go from here. Then, Crowley offered up his flat for the night, and he still had that knee-jerk reaction to keep him at a distance. Keep them separate but safe.
But the bookshop was gone.

Summary
Summoning a demon wasn’t as hard as everyone made it out to be. A bit of chalk drawn into a pentagram and an inviting “please” could, theoretically, bring forth a force from Hell. It wasn’t very flashy, and there was no compelling reason to answer to such a meager calling, so most demons wouldn’t even notice or bother with it. If you happened to summon a demon this way, chances were they would step straight out of the sigil, rend you limb from limb and go back to whatever greater, demonic deed they were carrying on about.
So, summoning a demon wasn’t really that hard, but the surviving bit was pretty vitally important.

Summary
Even the most mortal, most agonizing incisions are destined for a greater purpose.
Traveling merchant Lian, exhausted and lost, physically and emotionally, on the outskirts of town, stumbles into a half-dead stranger proclaiming themselves as 'The Seer.' They babble on about their ‘ascension’ as 'The Angel,' attempting to indoctrinate the faithless Lian into their plan. Lian's past, haunted with false Gods and painful massacres, reluctantly saves The Seer from their death in the woods, forcing him to reflect on his own faith and what he stands for—learning how deep scars can truly transcend just mortal flesh.Bookmarked by yotoll
