Constance shakes her head, a couple strands of hair coming loose from over her shoulder, grazing the rim of the seat; Swan purses her lips, gathers Constance's hair into one hand in place of the hair tie neither of them remembered to wear, pin-straight and impossibly smooth. Practically hugging Constance now, back to front.
"I don't wanna throw up in the car."
Swan gets it out of Constance's system.

It wasn’t his first hockey fight, not by far. After decades of playing, it was impossible to avoid the occasional scrum. It just wasn’t something that Shane purposefully tried to get involved in. He wasn’t like Ilya, he didn’t find joy in pushing and prodding at the other team until one of them snapped and threw a punch. When a scrum did break out, he hardly ever joined the fray, preferring instead to focus on managing the refs and trying to get his team out of the fight with as few penalties as possible.
When Shane’s fist connected with Comeau’s cheekbone, Shane grinned.
