Summary
Keith never cared that he was an Omega. Sure, his heats were hella long and stupidly frequent and his body rejected synthetic suppressants so his parents had to pay for injections that had horrible side effects but, that's just life, right? Okay, so being an Omega sucked a bit, but it had never *mattered* until he moved from his Podunk hometown to the proverbial Big City, where everyone puts you into a category whether you belong there or not. And now? Now his body is rejecting even the non-synthetic suppressants, and it turns out the culprit is an awkwardly hot and insanely nice donor, Takashi Shirogane, who it looks he'll have no choice but to spend some "quality time" with or face a medically necessary drop out from college. Just great.

Summary
“Buck,” he says softly. “He told me I had to be brave and that you would find me. And he said everything was going to be okay. He lied!” Chris yells the last part and Eddie's heart breaks.
Eddie pulls his son into his lap and scents him. He breathes in his pup's sorrowful scent and wants to wail. His son is so young to lose so many people. He buries his nose into Chris’s unruly hair again and breathes deeply and feels a flare in his chest. Buck scented him before letting him go. He can smell Buck on his son. Even in his desperation to get Chris to safety, he had thought to offer his son comfort, even offering his own shirt.
Eddie's alpha howls. Mate, mate, mate. Buck isn't his, he reminds himself again, but it doesn't seem to matter. All he wants is to have Buck in his arms.

Peter Parker, grieving the loss of Aunt May and Uncle Ben, needs a change. That's what his grief counselor says, anyway. So he makes an impulsive and massive one: He buys a farm. He doesn't mean for it to turn in a rescue for broken things, he just... he can't help but love the animals that no one else wants. Thus, when he overhears a greasy, crude asshole trying to pawn off a rooster in the middle of a farmer's market, he doesn't hesitate.
But there's something wrong with this rooster. It doesn't crow at sunrise—which is the only thing Peter expects a rooster would do—but it does holler its tail off whenever Peter bends over. And it follows him around and clucks like it's talking to him. And it's weirdly good at killing the vermin around the house.
There's a mystery afoot. Peter's going to get to the bottom of it.
