Summary
Brandon King's pampered life has been anything but peaceful. Ever since he presented as an omega, his parents have tried to protect him from the dangers of the world, namely, alphas. And Brandon gets it; he knows what an alpha could do to a boy like him. But he wishes his parents would slow down with all this talk of marriage and mating.
Enter Nikolai Sokolov, the most dangerous alpha Brandon's ever met. With a mysterious past and a bad attitude, he's the exact type of alpha Brandon's father wants him to stay away from.
Suddenly, danger doesn't seem like such a bad thing.
---“Oh, fuck, baby,” the alpha’s head tipped back, up to the night sky. “Those are the magic words.”

Summary
“There’s a new ‘three strike’ law, Jimmy, and you have just triggered it,” she said tiredly. That didn’t sound good. “The state is going to appoint you an Alpha.”
The chair slipped out from under him and he almost fell, catching the edge of the table in the last second. What. No. No no no no… That couldn’t be right, there was no way.
“What?” He didn’t care that he sounded like he was a second away from having a panic attack, ‘cause he kind of was.
Amanda didn’t look like she had been joking.

Summary
“Just, off the record,” she says, voice lower, eyes sharper, crook of her mouth quirking up a little, “don’t you ever miss it? A good knot? You must.”
Louis blinks and then swallows, thickly. “No,” he exclaims, offended that she’d even ask, “I love my husband. And anyway, how could I miss something I’ve never had?”
---
Louis is the frontman of an equal rights-movement, author of a book about beta-omega marriage and the struggles of being born and boxed into a personality you don't necessarily feel you fit. The notion that an omega must want to be with an alpha or else he or she's just settling for less, is bullshit.
But, fucking hell.

Summary
The marriage of the Princes had been brokered by the Allfather and Laufey, the leader of the Jotun, who are called Frost Giants by the Asgardians. The two Kings had long been at war with each other, but after an unusually bloody battle where both lost over half their respective armies, they agreed that the time had come to end the conflict. After a dreary, protracted period of negotiation, it was decided that the two Princes, both of whom were disappointments to their fathers, should be wed, thus ushering in a tentative peace between the two worlds.
