Finding her facing the opposite way, he placed his hand on her shoulder and tried to turn her around, but her feet were rooted firmly to the ground.
“Granger, please.” He whispers, pleading. “Tell me what I did wrong.”
“Nothing.” She exhaled. “You didn’t do anything. It’s me. I just can’t do this anymore.”
“What?” He questioned, starting to get mad. “What does that even mean?” He noticed her hands shaking and took a deep breath to calm himself down. “Granger. I thought we were good. Better than good.” He whispered. “You’re my best friend.” He pleaded.
“We are.” She groaned. “But we can’t be anymore.” He started to speak. “Look. I don’t want you like a best friend. Okay? And I know you don’t feel the same way so just leave me alone.” She turned around to face him. “Please.” She begged and started pulling at her fingers.
