The Uchiha clan has exactly one future mapped out for its daughters.
First comes service, then comes marriage, then comes the baby in a baby carriage. It’s a very proud, very ancient tradition.
…There’s just one small problem.
The "service" that's expected is a few years in Konoha's Seduction & Infiltration Division. Uchiha Kiya thinks it’s complete and utter bullshit, and she’s dead set on making it everyone else’s problem.
Luckily for Kiya, her big brother is only too happy to enable her. And okay, it probably helps that the clan heir believes in her, too.
Perhaps a little more than he should.
Unfortunately, Itachi isn't the only prodigy in Konoha with poor judgement, and Kakashi has never been as good at minding his business as he likes to pretend.

Summary
Sasuke was consumed with hatred because his family was killed. His entire family, not a single person left alive except him and their killer. It was enough to drive someone insane, or into the arms of the first maniac promising him enough power for revenge.
Instead Sasuke finds a little baby Uchiha on a meaningless mission and leaves Konoha for a vastly different reason.

Summary
Itachi dies - both times- as he lived: trying to help Sasuke and falling horrifically short, while further traumatizing the poor boy in the process. His last thought as he is sealed away is that he had never done right by the person that is, in all the ways that matter, the center of his universe.
Then, he wakes up, cradled in his mother's arms, looking at the blurry faces of his parents, as Fugaku proudly names him Itachi.
He screams.

Uchiha Itachi nodded at the civilians and shinobi parents in greeting as he made his way through the open gates of the academy grounds. Itachi weaved through the bodies with ease and his onyx eyes gazed around searchingly for the trouble child. He heard him before he saw him.
“Shut the hell up! You’re all so annoying, you damn bitches!”
The silence descended on the clearing and Itachi sent his silent prayers to Amaterasu. His cantankerous and dour little brother stood in the center of the playground, sneering hatefully at a group of whimpering and sobbing fangirls.

The humour in this is amazing. Honestly Naruto in this is such a badass and Itachi so passive that it doesn't seem very equitable (good thing he was impressive when she was 7 I guess!) but she deserves to get what she wants! Would love to see this Naruto with Madara, what a power couple that would be. Reread for the laughs alone - the confrontation with Kisame is so good.

“Do I have to teach you about the birds and the bees?” Naruto spat, bouncing the Baby slightly while meeting Sasuke’s gaze head on.
