“Nick, are you awake?” Charlie Spring slowly and carefully opened their bedroom door, whispering towards the large blanket lump on their bed. He needed help with their holiday preparations, and fully expected his fiancé to have transformed into his usual bundle of Christmas excitement by now. “I need your help with a few things.”

“Oh, Nick.” Charlie didn't expect to see a pair of bloodshot eyes with heavy bags under them to stare back at him. Whether or not he intended to give away his feelings, Nick's face said everything he needed to know. Charlie quickly crossed the room and fell into their bed before pulling his larger fiancé into his arms. -
