Daniel opens his eyes just enough to see through his thick lashes, head turning to the side. There's a guy standing next to him. He's well-dressed. Looks like he owns an iron, and all the real stuff—mulberry silk, cashmere, chiffon. He's gorgeous, there’s no other word. Except there are a lot of words:
Bedworthy. Doable. Foxy. Sex on legs.
or: It’s New Year’s Eve 1986. Armand and Daniel have broken up and even though Daniel doesn’t remember, there’s major fallout. He goes to a club to get hammered and drown his sorrows and ends up meeting a very handsome stranger who gives him what he needs.

Armand whines, and pouts, and grabs at him, his fingers clinging to the fabric of Daniel’s shirt. “Where are you going?”
“Wait here, baby,” Daniel says, swooping back down for just a second to kiss him quickly. “I’m gonna put on some music, yeah?”

“Is that all right?” Armand asks, blinking up at him, his pupils enormous.
“Yes…” Daniel breathes out. “Is’good. It’s just…” He’s sure his cheeks are flaring. “I never…”
Armand cups Daniel’s face with his free hand, and Daniel’s mouth falls open on another gasp. He strokes Daniel’s cheek with his thumb, all the way up to his earlobe, rubbing it gently, soothing.
“I know,” he says. “It’s okay. You know, I haven’t done it like this in a long time.”
“Yeah?” Daniel asks, panting.
“Yeah,” Armand replies. “You will be the first I’ve been inside in decades.”
