Summary
Pandora looked down at Sybil’s outstretched palm and drew in a breath. In her palm was a a rock. It was smooth and flat and about the size of her palm but what caught her attention was the the image that had been intricately painted on its surface. The strokes and swirls of colour created the image of a girl with golden hair, she was holding a box, one delicate hand placed on the lid of the intricate box, about to open it. Pandora gazed at it in utter awe. It was beautiful. She reached out and took it from Sybil, completely mesmerised.
“I’m sorry if this is weird. I just- well you see it’s-“
“Pandora’s box.” Her voice came out breathy and she felt all light and floaty. “Yeah, I’m familiar.” She could feel a giddy smile spread across her face. “Sybil it’s beautiful.”

Summary
Buck only means to go to confession once.
Instead, he finds himself returning to the same church again and again for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with religion and everything to do with one devastatingly kind priest named Eddie Diaz.
What starts as awkward conversations and accidental emotional vulnerability slowly becomes something far more dangerous: feelings.
Unfortunately for Buck, falling for a priest is a terrible idea.

Eddie realized dimly that his hand was still lifted, phone pressed to his ear, the call still live – Buck’s voice spilling through the speaker, thin and panicked and far too loud:
“…Eddie, what is happening? Talk to me. Eddie.”
He should have kissed him before leaving the house, Eddie thought, as his knees gave out.
He should have kissed him more, period. Every chance he got. In the kitchen, from behind, hands wrapped around his waist. On the couch, during the quiet lull of a movie neither of them was watching. In the parking lot before a shift, just because he could. In the locker room as the bells went off – a good luck charm tucked just out of sight.
He should have stopped acting like there’d always be another time.
