He would almost find it silly if it weren’t something so achingly primal, wired in the brain like the will to survive. Because being known, be it platonically or romantically, was something that everyone wanted, and for Hannibal Lecter it could be something that’s considered a weakness. Not because the act of loving is a weak one, but because if the one person out there, Hannibal’s ultimate match, had just as much darkness as him, then the possibility of his death was just as likely as the possibility of falling in love.
So, perhaps then, you can imagine Hannibal’s caution when he receives an unexpected courting gift at eight am on a Monday.

Kiyoomi hated going to the city because it usually meant public events. He’d rather spend his time reading in the royal library, roaming the castle, painting, taking a stroll in the gardens, anything but leaving the castle to visit the townspeople.
Atsumu loved going to the city because he loved seeing all the people. Sure, he loved being on the farm with his family, tending to the livestock, harvesting the fields, but sometimes, on those rare occasions, the family took a trip to the city for goods. And now he had to move there with his brother because their family really needed extra money.
OR
Prince Kiyoomi's eyes meet Farmer/Carpenter Atsumu's during the parade. It's basically love at first sight.
