Looking around, the green room looks bare and poorly lit, with only a couch, a coffee table, and a withering plant tucked in the corner of the room. The other man looks around as well, scratching the back of his head. “Wanted to make sure you were good. I’m sorry about losing the award, man. You’ll get it next time.”
“Hey, hey.” Anthony grabs his shoulders, steadying him. “It’s fine. I’m disappointed, but it's fine. Besides,” He shrugs. “Felt lonely without you guys being in the same category as me.”
(It's not losing that weighed him down, Anthony came to realize.)
