Summary
Their fearless leader scans the crowd that has circled around the courtyard. His movements were unpredictable— he would be still as a rock one moment, and tilt his head the next, as if he was finding something. His gaze lingers on a man from afar from a lit room behind the window. The second floor of the apartment complex behind the statue.
There was a glint in his eyes in what looked like awe, or perhaps fear? Torchbearer was used to finding the sheer terror in a person with the twitch of their eyes alone. Judging by how this man looks at him, it was more of a cautious curiosity. And then another person walks in and draws the curtains. He was shorter, quite possibly his brother, with a look of disgust written on his face. He left the scene almost immediately.
Torchbearer didn't know who they were, but he had a gut feeling— and it is quite certain, that one of them wants to be out of this place. He can't save everyone, this he knows, but there are people who are courageous enough to leave their home and start a better life in an unknown place.
He is going to save them.
OR: Castiel is the Torchbearer and has a plan to save the Winchesters from the circular cement city of Dema.
