Summary
After the events of Vulture and Crow, Metal is at a loss over what to do. Light encourages him to find work with another scientist- Dr Cossack- in the hopes that he can actually pursue his genuine interest in cybernetics.
Time has passed since Cossack accepted Metal. There is still a sense of distrust between them, with Metal understanding that where he comes from is fresh on everyone’s minds. His connection with Wily cannot be ignored, but Cossack is slowly lessening how often it is brought up.
Meanwhile, overseas, Dr Light has stopped responding to their correspondence. Things are becoming tense again, with Sebelas suspecting Wily is back up to his evil plans. He has good reason to believe this as well, as doctors previously associated with Wily are being killed off one by one.When one day, Kalinka is kidnapped by an unknown force, Metal realizes his past is still much, much closer to him than he thought.
