    They argue over the philosophies of each type of exercise one day. Naturally things escalate, one thing leads to another, and somehow the only logical resolution is to fuck about it.

    Heeseung laughs for real this time, eyes crinkling. His hands make their way to Jake’s cheeks, cupping them and running his thumbs over the apple of his cheeks. “Yeah, I kissed you,” he whispers back, amused. 

    “Why?” Jake asks, eyebrows furrowed. “Why would you kiss me?”

    “It’s simple,” Heeseung shrugs. “I like you.”

    Jake fumbled for his phone, fingers clumsy as he pulled up his cycle tracking app. He was early. Two weeks early.

    The door opened without a knock, and Jake nearly jumped out of his skin. His body went rigid, every instinct screaming at him to hide, to find somewhere safe and dark and quiet. But then his mind caught up with his senses, recognizing the familiar scent before he even turned around.
