Summary
Vergil has a new motivation: to reconcile his human and demon halves and live in the human world. He wants to be someone his son doesn’t hate, perhaps even cares for. Can Vergil be someone who understands what it means to love?
Are there ways to atone for the crimes he has committed?
With the help of Mary and (in Dante’s own way) his brother, Vergil slowly re-learns what it means to be part of a family. All the while the world burns around them, fueled by growing hate for demons.

Darcy, despite all of the warnings her mother had ever given her, looked at her Timer as a comfortable promise. Sometime after Puente Antiguo, it had finally stopped being pale and blurry, which Darcy took as a good sign. Then being a witness to the near destruction of the planet a few times, it was a day to downright look forward to.

too much use of norse gods as curse words, but otherwise very good. I liked them not jumping straight into anything. Having to actually work for the bond after both of them did their damnedest to push the other into safer directions.
