Summary
Max Verstappen has a crush problem.
Specifically, a Charles Leclerc problem.After months of pining, flirting (he swears it was flirting) and making heart eyes across press conferences, Max finally gathers the courage to confess.
Charles smiles, pats his arm and says the words that end Max’s world:“Of course, Max. You’re a very good friend.”
Heart shattered. Pride bruised. Ego permanently dented.
Enter George Russell — Mercedes’ overachieving, PR-polished golden boy and Max’s long-time frenemy. The man who once called him “emotionally constipated” in a drivers’ briefing.
When Max drunkenly vents about his heartbreak, George, half for amusement and half because he can’t resist chaos proposes a plan:
“Let’s fake date. Make Leclerc see what he’s missing. You get your revenge. I get to prove you do have emotions.”
Against all logic, Max agrees.

Summary
Tired, after a long race, Max tells the media that he and George Russel are dating. It’s a joke. A poorly timed joke, maybe, but still obviously a joke, but not to the media or the fans who are engrossed by the story of two rivals turned lovers. The passionate love affair that had spilled into their off track dynamic.
It wasn’t meant to happen, but it did, and both the Red Bull and Mercedes team need to find a way to pick up the pieces before the situation got any more out of control.- Language:

Summary
The knifing twist in Max's abdomen was blindingly, swelteringly hot, focused down into a sharp point that throbbed in his lower abdomen, around the hipbone. He cringed down, the room swimming, his guts clenching in on themselves and only making it worse in the process. He threw up.
The world came back into focus as he shivered. He had to do well in Austria, of course, and then he’d get a 12-day break before starting England. So it was okay.Or:
Max has appendicitis, ignores it. Races with a deliriously high fever. Charles attributes his reckless driving to ego, and is very angry. Charles confronts Max on their way to the podium and, catching him as he collapses, realizes he doesn't know anything about Max at all.
(Kinda cute. Mentions of Max's fucked up mental process in regards to pain, racing, discipline. Can be platonic or not.)- Language:

“No- uh- no-” He clears his throat, trying to catch his breath. “I think- mmm- I think I am going to pass out.” He knows those are not words he should be saying on the radio. It’s dangerous. Anyone could hear it. But-
“Max, pull off to the side. Now.”
Max would shake his head but he knows it’s a bad idea. “No, No,” but he’s having trouble getting the words out. They're slurring together and the pulse behind his eyes is unrelenting. The world’s nothing more than a black and white blur, GP’s voice struggling to be heard over the intensifying ringing. “I-I can make it to pit I just-”
“Now Max.”
