Summary
The tale of Sasuke Uchiha—youngest prince of the Konoha Kingdom. Glorious even in his youth. He bloomed like Eros’s arrow piercing the hearts of mortals, making them quicken with love. He grew—like the garden of Eve—beautiful, and utterly mesmerizing. Everything was within his grasp. Nothing denied. A life spun of fantasy, like the dreams humanity dares not speak aloud.
But Sasuke Uchiha failed to learn one thing: he did not learn that one must never fall in love with what cannot be possessed. Like Icarus, he was fated to burn the moment he dared draw near the sun. Longing and yearning mean little when love leads to ruin.
Yet once more, Sasuke Uchiha did not learn. For he allowed himself to be held by something he never possessed. He allowed himself to be embraced by something he had never known. He allowed himself to fall in love with someone society swore he could never claim.
He fell in love with the Admiral of his Royal Navy—Uzumaki Naruto.

Summary
Will’s not supposed to be hiding in corners, forcing a fake smile when Mike asks him if he’s okay. He’s not supposed to brush off insults like they're jokes. He’s not supposed to vanish for six hours during a school day, leaving Mike feeling like he’s slipping away all over again.
Whoever said that beating Vecna’s going to fix Hawkins’ problems, Will’s problems, Mike’s problems—they deserve an earful. They deserve to feel this weird, hollow dissatisfaction chewing away at their chests.
aka mike begs will to escape their small town after too many run-ins with homophobic small-town bs. he knows will's meant to find himself elsewhere, but he never expects to find an answer to the age-old question of his own fate. prom, gay bars, sleazy hotels, train stations, two lesbians and their not-so-legal marriage - they aren't the traditional sources of wisdom, but he can't complain.

Summary
“Mike?” he questioned, the name that had lingered in his mind for years, finally on his lips again.
Max let out a small breathy laugh, “well, yeah. It’s Mike.”Will nodded despite his confusion, and once the realisation hit, the confusion turned to hurt.
“You guys still talk?” he asked, voice strained.Lucas looked at Max, then back at Will. As if he’s shocked to hear the question.
“You don’t?” They said in unison again.“No. We don’t.”

Mike and Will haven’t spoken since Will left for New York in 1989.
In 1995, during one of their visits from Hawkins, Max and Lucas ask Will to be a groomsman at their wedding. When Max mentions that Mike will be a groomsman too, it hits him like a sucker punch.
Mike is still friends with the whole Party, just not him.
Now he has to stand beside him at the altar. Pretend everything is normal. Pretend this is how it was meant to be for them.
He certainly didn’t expect that the first time he would meet Mike’s eyes in five years would be to the sound of Whoomp! (There It Is).
