“Hi,” Kenma murmured.
Kuroo smiled, something soft and beautiful that stole all the air from the room. “Hi.”
Kenma brought his hands to Kuroo’s shirt. He let his eyes drop to follow the movement. He fiddled with the buttons there. Not trying to undo them, but more a nervous tick. Kuroo’s thumb snuck under his shirt and rubbed against his hipbone. It was distracting.
Eyes still averted, because it was safer that way, Kenma whispered, “Do you love me?”
To Kuroo’s credit, his thumb did not falter in its soothing gesture. His hands did not twitch and his breathing did not change. His voice was perfectly even, unreasonably calm, as he leaned forward and whispered in Kenma’s ear, “Yes.”

“Things can change,” Kuro says. There's something dangerous in his voice. Kenma's blood sings.
“But do they ever?” Kenma's mouth stretches into a lazy grin. Just the right side of annoying. Just the right side of a challenge. “Why are you mad anyway? Don't you have a girlfriend right now? Do you see me being mad about that?”
Kuro twitches, something akin to shame flickering over his features that disappears as quickly as it shows up. Oh, but it stays. Always right there, even if invisible, always burning so, so bright within Kuro. Kenma knows this. Knows this so well, in fact, because he's always the cause of it.
Things don't change.

At first, Kuroo waits. But as the weeks drag on and Kenma keeps slipping further away, Kuroo’s patience begins to fray. He doesn't want to push—but he also can't keep pretending everything is fine.
He pulls out a scrap of paper, scribbles a note against the wall with the back of the receipt.
We don’t have to talk. Just let me know you’re okay.It’s late when his phone buzzes. Kuroo’s half-asleep on the couch, blanket tangled around his legs.

給黑尾的兩手手腕都打上極其標準的蝴蝶結，研磨慢慢拉開黑尾隨手繫的浴袍，露出裡面飽滿結實的胸膛和緊實的腹部線條。

只穿了一件大到蓋住大腿上半的寬鬆長袖，研磨在黑尾耳邊說：「那跟我一起睡啊。」
把研磨整個抱起來一路從客廳走到房間再丟到自己的床上，黑尾兩手撐在研磨旁邊，居高臨下：「想補覺還是想做？做到一半看到你打呵欠我不敢保證會發生什麼事。」
研磨抬腿輕輕抵在黑尾腿間蹭了蹭：「你本來就沒辦法保證會發生什麼事。」
