What if Foreman never gets sick and therefore he and Cameron never hash their argument out? What if time cruelly plows forward, weeks pass, and still they can hardly bear to look at each other?
While House and the ducklings are away at a conference, Cameron lays awake across from Foreman and studies his sleeping form, agonizing over all of it. She misses what she thought they had.

House was sitting on the couch with his siblings, all watching him as he read the symptoms out loud. “So, what do you guys think?” he asked them, trying to sound serious, and older than he felt.”
Foreman completed a row of his sticker sheet, and for his reward he wants to play his favorite game: pretending to be House.
