Summary
Rusty keeps having dreams. Dreams about hunting and fighting, but mostly about cats. Cats he's never met, who he can never remember properly upon waking up, but who feel as real and important as anything else in his life. He's willing to do whatever it takes to figure out what these dreams mean, even if it means abandoning his old life for a new one in the wild.

Stonefur regarded the large, gray Thunderclan cat failing to fish in their river, his paws clumsy as he helplessly tried to swat a fish out of the water. The tail of the fish hit his face instead and swam away without harm, leaving the gray warrior sputtering in its wake.
He looked at his sister, and Mistyfoot looked momentarily awkward. Her pale blue-gray fur, so similar to his own, bristled under a mellow breeze.

Summary
Before the Great Journey, on their way to find Midnight, Brambleclaw, Squirrelpaw, Crowpaw, Feathertail, Stormfur, and Tawnypelt make their way into the Mountains. But, upon arrival they receive another dream from Starclan.
The clans are gone.
Starclan waited too long to send their warning message, and now the traveling cats are all that's left of the clans. The group is torn by grief, but most of them ultimately decide to make their lives in the mountains with the Tribe of Rushing Water.
Join Feathertail and Crowfeather's kits, Petal, Sun, and Bee, as they find their paths in the tribe with the help of the former clan cats.

Summary
As Firepaw finishes his training and becomes Fireheart, his life in Thunderclan only grows more complicated. War between Thunderclan and Riverclan is reignited over a mysterious murder that has both clans reeling, and Fireheart begins to suspect something deeper is going on. As he starts to investigate the strange goings-on, though, he must grapple with tragedy, loneliness, and questions of morality.
Meanwhile in Riverclan, Leopardfur finds herself embroiled in a competition for clan deputy as Oakheart announces his retirement. However as war fires up between the clans, partly guided by her own paw, she starts to question her dedication to her ambition and wonders if leadership is achievable...or even is the life she truly craves.
