To ask Gimli to teach him all the impossible ways their bodies might fit together.'

Gimli’s friendship with Legolas is accepted if disliked; his reverence for Galadriel understood if mistrusted . . . but there is only so much liberty a lord of a new dwarven colony may be allowed.
