Three years ago, if someone had told her she'd marry the snarky intern from the ED she'd have laughed them out of the room. If they'd told her that same woman would one day be asleep in her arms with a rescued kitten draped across her collarbone after spending the evening fussing over it, she might have laughed even harder.
Now, listening to two different sets of quiet snores fill the room, Yolanda couldn't imagine a life that looked any different.

Trinity and Yolanda bring home a stray cat. She instantly loves Trinity but seems completely indifferent to (borderline dislikes) Yolanda. But it's okay, love is meant to bloom over time.

Trinity is in a love affair with a fifteen year old video game that she uses to disctract herself from her actual real life situtationship-problems. It works, mostly.

Her hand goes for Yolanda’s jacket first, and she barely notices as she grabs a little velvet box—except that a second later, the realization clicks. Trinity doesn’t even have to take it out of the pocket to understand what she’s holding, but she takes it out anyway, just to be sure.
A black ring box.
Her heart immediately races, pumping hard against her ribs. It means exactly what she thinks it means, what she’s been dreaming of for the whole month.
