Summary
Yoonchae hopes that she never gets used to the way Megan’s lips feel against her, hopes that the artificial cherry-sweet flavor and tackiness never fades. If she’s being completely honest with herself, Yoonchae thinks she could spend every day, for the rest of her life, kissing Megan and she’d still be able to find something new to obsess over. Some days it’s how Megan’s upper lip is more full than her own and how she likes the feeling of that, others it’s Megan’s lower lip when it’s being dragged between her teeth. But right now, Yoonchae’s obsessed with the way Megan keeps smiling into their kiss.

Megan was looking, staring, at her. Those usual bright and puppy-like brown eyes were dark and half-lidded, dragging down Yoonchae’s frame, deliberately, as the corner of her mouth had curled into the smallest, but most self-satisfied, smirk ever. Megan’s chest was rising and falling, doing her best to catch her breath, under the ridiculous t-shirt she’d worn to rehearsals today—it was the one she’d been given during their tour by a fan in Boston, the words Titty Garden printed across the black fabric in blocky yellow font. If they hadn’t been on stage, the sip of water she’d just taken would’ve been snorted through her nose. Now, though, as she does her best not to gulp at the look Megan’s currently giving her, joking about it feels irrelevant.

Summary
Stars, in multiple ways, remind Yoonchae of Megan. They remind her of the little star tattoo on Megan’s rib that Yoonchae—privately, selfishly—wants to feel under her hands, to know if it’ll feel any different than the rest of Megan’s skin. They remind her of that night in LA, Megan showing her all the constellations, explaining what they all meant. They remind her of being a kid, reaching out of the window of her apartment in Seoul and into the sky, thinking she could reach the stars, only to be met with disappointment when all she grabs is air. Stars, in general, remind Yoonchae of Megan—beautiful, radiant, but so far from her that she can’t even begin to hope that they’re also looking back at her.

Yoonchae blinks. “What?”
Lara just stares at her, quiet and patient in a way that always scares Yoonchae, even though she’d never admit it out loud. She just stares back, stubborn, until Lara leans her chin on her palm, eyes glinting, “You have her location.”
Yoonchae presses her lips together. “I don’t stalk her.”
A flicker of amusement passes over Lara’s face. “You realize you never wear your own clothes anymore?”
Yoonchae glances down at her sleeves. “Megan’s fit better.”
Lara hums, unconvinced. “You let her steal your food.”
“She buys me more food.”
“She steals your time.”
Yoonchae looks up at her, puzzled. “She asks?”

“No,” she shakes her head, brown locks moving against the sheets. “I mean, make me your canvas.”
Yoonchae crosses her arms. “Well, the last time I did that, you got the cherry blossom tattooed.”
Megan rolls onto her side. “I liked it too much, it was exactly my type. But I kinda want another one now.” She blinks up at Yoonchae with wide eyes, cranking her pout up to full power as she tugs at the fabric in her hand.
