Summary
Jeht can’t look back. The blazing sun dries the tears on her cheeks almost as fast as they fall, the wind scours her exposed skin and tears at her disheveled blue braids as she makes her way out of the newly uninhabited gorge, and the swirling sand itself conspires with her heart to make each step a greater agony, but still she forges ahead. She knows what waits if she turns. She walks away from the only life she wants, leaving her heart in the hands of a forlorn Traveler.

While I love that Jeht was brought back for Song of the Welkin Moon, I was annoyed at the unceremonious way some of her plotlines were handled, so I decided to do it myself! Here’s my (mostly) canon-compliant version of what happened between the end of Jeht’s quests and the Archon Quest! Spoilers ahead for the Golden Slumber, Dirge of Bilqis, and related World Quests, along with slight spoilers for Song of the Welkin Moon IX in the last chapter.

Summary
Ineffa blinked, turning to the kettle to pour a cup of something, coffee by the smell of it.
“I don't have enough visual data on you, when you left I didn't have as much to go through.” Ineffa stated.
Jahoda felt her face burn at Ineffa's bluntness, “You were collecting data on me?”
“Correct.” Ineffa nodded, sliding a cup towards Jahoda, “Please drink, I added 3 sugars.”
“Hold on a sec there, let me rephrase, why are you collecting data on me?” Jahoda leaned in, eyebrows furrowed.
Ineffa blinked, “Hm, my modules make you a high priority individual, if I had to assume.”
“Why?” Jahoda continued to probe.
“I'm not quite sure of the reasoning.” Ineffa simply stated.

Jahoda was hurt on one of her missions and Ineffa is a stupid sweet robot just trying to help her. Unfortunatley, Jahoda is far too stubborn and prideful for that - despite it being all she wants.

Summary
