    Summary

“Stop!” Verso shouted, ducking your swing and driving his shoulder into you hard enough to make you stagger. “Just stop and tell me what you want from her!”

“I’m trying to save him!” You shouted back.

“What?” Confusion cut through his focus for a heartbeat.

You used it, shoving past him. You managed three strides, maybe four, before he grabbed at your arm from behind. You spun around, aiming for his face. He caught your wrist before the blow could land.

“Who are you?” He demanded again, panting now, trying and failing to hide how shaken he was. “Why are you acting like this?”

    OR

During the fire you ran into the Manor after Verso to save him(fail), and now you’re dead with your soul stuck in an in-between phase. The only way to ‘set it free’ is to enter his childhood Canvas and stop Verso’s mini-me from painting. Courtesy of Aline though, painted people(who deserve to exist) live in there now, a facsimile of the Dessendres, and a version of Verso who is more or less, a sad soggy baguette that lies for a living.

    Summary

    [SPOILERS!]

You are a loved one from borrowed memories, a flicker of salvation, a source of devastating desire; you're a fragment of the man who loved his music, loved his paintings, loved him, and yet you, too, are merely a painted copy of what Verso never had.

Real or fake, you are prepared to live and die for him.

But when the Chroma settles and the Canvas falls into the hands of an idealistic tyrantess, maybe sharing in replicant emptiness is liberation; perhaps you can reminisce together, guiltlessly dream of time shared in life and death, ponder the silver-linings of a miserable future.

Maybe you'll whisper of ways to make it all disappear, too.

It was so strange, the vanishing of Alicia’s scars.

What was stranger, still, was the appearance of similar marks on you.
