    “I’m—”
    And his voice gets stuck on his throat to the point he has to clear it to try speak again.
    “I’m an Uchiha… I’m Sasuke Uchiha.”
    The man lowers his sword.
    “Forgive us, but we will have to check on your identity when we get to the camp,” the man says, stepping forward and offering Sasuke a hand to stand up. "However, until then, welcome home.”

     

    Or, after the war is over and everything is said and done, Sasuke is terrified of getting dragged back to Konoha and prays for things to be different. The next time he opens his eyes, he’s a hundred years in the past—surrounded by kin and, most importantly, Madara Uchiha.
