He was young, needed the money, and has successfully put it out of his head as he nurses a crush on librarian Belle French. She's an avid reader, but it's not like she's actually read his obscure little story, right?
Meanwhile, Belle French wrestles with her growing feelings for antiques dealer Robert Gold and begins to become suspicious of how he shares so many traits with the impish main character from one of her lifelong favorite (and mysteriously authored) stories.
Neal Gold is a gleefully meddlesome bitch.
