"I’ve been thinking about you,” Eliot continues, and Quentin’s heart nearly stops in his chest. Warning bells, sirens, flashing signs—this is not good. Not good.
“Well—don’t. Stop,” Quentin says. The top few buttons on Eliot's shirt are undone and how is he supposed to just be an adult and say no to this?
Eliot cracks a small smile, sliding just a little bit closer. "Don't stop?" he says.
“Eliot—just—please go back to the bar. You don’t really want this.”
Eliot frowns. “I’m a big boy, Professor,” he says, huffing out a breath. “I know what I want. The question is,” Eliot continues, Quentin holding his breath as Eliot leans into his space, “What do you want?”
Quentin’s mouth goes dry as his brain spins with acceptable responses. For you to go back to Brakebills and sober up—A nice cold glass of water—A redo of the last five years—An actual responsible adult—but what comes out is, “What I want doesn’t matter.”
Eliot’s face grows softer, the frown disappearing and his eyes searching Quentin’s face. “It does to me,” he says quietly. Cold fingers encircle Quentin's palm, and he closes his eyes as Eliot slots their fingers together and squeezes.

Summary
Two strangers take a chance on a dating app designed for 'no frills casual hookups', leading to a less than stellar encounter. The one-night stand quickly spirals into a different situation when the so-called 'Storm of the Century' effectively traps the pair together in the same New York apartment. Forced co-habitation after the world's most awkward night becomes an exercise in restraint, as the two attempt to play nice and discover an online connection and meaningless hookup might actually lead to something more. (An All Human AU, loosely inspired by the film "Two Night Stand")

Summary
Shane Hollander has spent years building a quiet, careful life for himself and his daughter. Everything changes the moment Yuki slips away from him at a crowded public event and is found in the arms of star hockey player Ilya Rozanov, who handles her with a gentleness that leaves Shane unexpectedly unsteady.

Warnings: I will warn that there are scenes of a sexual nature, but this is Torchwood, so you’d expect that and a limited amount of violence.
There have been so many AU stories with pupils that I thought I’d do one with staff instead. The setting is Torchwood High School on the outskirts of Cardiff. There will be characters from Torchwood and Doctor Who and some of my own from other stories and some created specifically for this one. I have used episodes from Series 1 and 2 as a background to the story followed by Children of Earth so be warned. We begin with Ianto Jones first day at his new school, Torchwood High.

It took him a second to realise what had happened; what had felt like hours while travelling through the rift shrunk itself in his head to a mere instant of searing gold. That’s when the flicker of the fire in front of him finally registered through his confused daze. In his haste to get away from the flames around him, he slipped and fell, scrambling back until he was a safe distance away from the smoke and the heat. It was only then that he took notice of the voices behind him. He turned towards the noise of a deep, northern voice spluttering and saying, confused and almost angry:
“Who the hell are you?”
The man rolled over onto his knees and stood up, looking around like he’d never seen a street before. “Jones.” He sounded uncertain but then spoke again with more confidence. “Ianto Jones.”
