Summary
Prince Aleksandr of Arcardia knows he got lucky when he married Quinhart Starfall, the Sun-King of Scorin, as part of the treaty that ended the war between their countries. A year into their marriage, he has a husband who loves him, a stepson who adores him, and precisely no assassinations attempts. Compared to that, trying to make it through the hectic preparations for the equinox festival seems like a small price to pay for happiness.
Then word comes from the northern border that Prince Matalith Greentide has emerged from an enchanted forest, two years after he was thought killed in a daring raid that turned the tide of the war. The Magnus Institute hires a Data Protection Officer. He sets about diligently booking in meetings, writing policy documents, and training all the staff in the importance of confidentiality. Now if only he could get hold of the Head Archivist, who seems to have vanished again...
(Jon is only trying to save the world, but apparently some people think he should still be doing his day job.)
