Summary
Riff felt the knife slide inside of his chest. He felt his eyes sliding closed against his will. He fell asleep, and then he woke up.
It took a moment for him to realize that he was awake, and his hands went straight to his chest, where he felt had felt the knife go in just a few moments before, but there was no wound there, no blood. There was no knife, nothing.
Maybe it was a dream. Well if it was a dream, it wasn't like any dream Riff had ever had before. It felt real. It felt too real. Riff jumped out of bed and before even putting a shirt on he ran out of the dingy apartment and down the stairs and outside to look at the street. It felt too normal to be the day after a big rumble. Really, it looked just like yesterday.

Summary
It happens only a couple hours after Chip punches Mitch in the face. Chip and Corey have been sitting in the lobby of Corey’s hotel, making frantic phone calls and sending emails for damage control, when Chip starts to realize that Corey keeps glancing at him.
Chip may not be the most good looking person in the studio, but he’s been on the receiving end of that kind of glance before. Maybe not as often as Alex, but enough to recognize it. Corey Ellison wants to jump his bones right now.

Summary
Riff walks around the block four times before he can even calm himself down enough to actually climb the stairs in front of the apartment building. Even then, he stands staring at the buzzer until an older lady carrying a bunch of shopping bags pushes by him to unlock the door herself. She holds it open for him, but he waves her off. He feels weird just walking into the building, so he watches the door click shut and hits the buzzer. He’s expecting a voice to come from the speaker box, and that he’ll have to say something, but the buzzer beeps, and he’s let into the building.

James pressed one hand to his chest and affected a little bow. “You flatter me.”
Sherlock shifted his chair an inch or two closer to James’, the little tart. His eyes were intent, and hungry. When there was something he wanted, he would pursue it until he’d chased it down, and then, once he had it in his teeth, he would be gone again. There was no point getting upset about it; he didn’t do it on purpose. It was simply the way the glittering, ticking machinery of the Holmeses was made.
“I could do more,” he said, quietly, “than flatter you.”
It was the sort of thing he said when he was only playing, but his gaze was steady.
“Careful, now,” murmured James. They weren’t the only people in the bar. “You wouldn’t want me to get the wrong idea, would you?”
Sherlock Holmes needs a favour.
