Summary
You've been at the burial grounds for a while before you start to worry. You're there with Alula, after all, and time always rushes by when you're playing around with her and listening to her laugh. Then, one hour turns into two, and two hours turn into three, and you start to realize that the flying machine really should be back by now.

Summary
“You gotta go,” he said, lifting Leo up last and shoving him in just as his brothers red slashed face began to pull into a frown. Weirdly smart brain putting together all the pieces. “You gotta go."
He could see the exact second Leo realized what he really meant was ‘You gotta leave me behind’.
Probably unsurprisingly, Leo did not like that.
“No!” Leo hissed, claws scraping over Raphs arms. “No! Don’t leave, don’t go! You can’t!”
Raph grabbed his hands. They were so small and cold, slimy with dirty sewer water.
“Leon!”
Leo froze. His eyes were huge, glassy with tears and fear and he was shaking. Little tremors that rocked him from toes to fingertips. All the bravado and laughter was gone, not a hint of a smile left.
He was scared, Raph realized. He was so scared, and Raph was the only one that could make it better.
“Leon,” Raph said quietly. “I can’t fit.”
“No,” Leo said miserably. Crowded up behind him, Donnie and Mikey were crying, clinging to Leo’s shell and the walls, refusing to let the water wash them down. “You can make it, I know you can—“
Raph shook his head.
“No," he said quietly. "I can’t."

Summary
I lived with this hunger long before the Hail Mary. This is nothing new. I’m fine.
Right up until Rocky asks another question.
“When last time you touch other human person skin, question?”
Oh. Oh no. “When I… a few days after I first woke up here.”
Rocky starts to relax for a split second, but then tightens when something occurs to him.
“Grace crewmates dead when you wake up. You said this, statement. You not even know your own name, remember nothing, see dead bodies, confirm?”
I nod, because if I open my mouth I will gag.
“When last time Grace touch ALIVE human person, question.”
I swallow thickly. I don’t answer aloud because I know Rocky can hear the hitch in my breath. My stomach churns with fresh bile. He senses my vital signs tick over into stress patterns and goes very, very still again.
“Grace. When last time, question.”
I clench my jaw so hard my temples ache, and beg him with my eyes to just stop.
“Grace. Please say not when… when Evil Stratt humans put you to sleep.”
I can taste grass.

Summary
Leo expected several things when he portaled into Run of the Mill an hour after it closed. He expected the wait and kitchen staff to all collectively roll their eyes before begrudgingly going about their business. He expected Hueso to give a token sigh before waving him away to his office instead of making him leave like he always threatened to. He expected to munch on leftover breadsticks and fill Hueso in on his week; that he'd got the new highscore in Battle Crashers, that they'd stopped a group of new mutants who all thought armed robbery was the cool new thing to do.
That Mikey was on his last week of PT and Raph was showing signs of regaining vision and Leo had managed to get a full eight hours of sleep the other night.
What Leo didn't expect was to walk in with a smile and his usual cheeky “Hey bone man, did I miss the rush?” only to find Hueso surrounded by a group of unfamiliar Yokai, hands tied behind his back and a noticeable crack in his skull.
or The past shows up at Hueso’s door and Leo is dragged into the middle of it.

“How bad?” Splinter asked, his fingers rubbing gently up and down Leo’s not broken arm.
“Bad.” She replied simply, her voice carefully neutral. “But fixable.”
Mikey laid his hands over Raph’s and Leo’s and squeezed. “Breathe, Leo.”
He does. A broken sob comes out along with a distressed series of clicks. It surprises all of them; Leo hasn’t made those sounds since he was a little kid. Embarrassing, really, but he can’t help it. Everything really hurts.
