It was causing him so much stress, because he wasn’t eating properly, and it was making him tired and irritable all of the fucking time. It was why he was lying curled up on his bunk in his empty cabin, wondering what the fuck was wrong with him.
He knew he had to eat. He was fifteen for crying out loud. Food was especially important at his age to ensure that he grew properly. And he was trying. He was trying so fucking hard. But he just couldn’t.

He swallowed and turned around, forcing one foot in front of the other as he began to move towards the cliff edge. Around him, sounds faded into the high pitched whistle of cold wind whipping through trees and past uneven rock faces. He could vaguely hear Dustin yelling in the background, something about not doing it and how he didn’t need baby teeth anyway, but his brain turned it into white static.
or the quarry scene in stranger things season one but I made Mike a lot more suicidal and gave him a lot more self hate.

It's the school lunch break, and Thomas is on the field, playing football with the other kids in his class. He's grinning, and he's running around, breathing heavily. When he stops to catch his breath, he finds his eyes wandering, searching his surroundings for nothing in particular.
His gaze stops on a tree in the corner of the field, and the small boy beneath it. Thomas stares; the boy has messy blond hair, but he's wearing a flower crown and it's absolutely adorable.
