Summary
Jiang Wanyin, the God of Death, is in love with a human being. But not any human being; Lan Xichen is the Chief Police Officer in Gusu city, always risking his life to protect others. It's been two years since Jin Guangyao's scandal and Wei Wuxian's return rocked the cultivation world, and Jiang Cheng is just trying to move on, take care of his sect, and return to normal. At a boring sect meeting he'd give anything to avoid, however, he finds himself having several unexpected run-ins with Lan Xichen, and discovers the two of them have more in common than he could have thought. And, maybe, the both of them could learn a lesson from each other about moving on from the past.

Summary
Two years after the events of Guanyin temple, Jiang Cheng agrees it’s time to take a break from being a sect leader. Going on a night hunt seems like a good idea until it goes wrong. Severely injured, Jiang Cheng stumbles through snow and darkness to a small cabin. It might be fate that it’s the same cabin Lan Xichen chose for his secluded cultivation.
Deep in the cold heart of the mountains, they both learn that healing physical injuries is easier than mending wounded hearts, but it can be done at the same time. They find out that by saving others you can save yourself.

——Even if he doesn't wear clothes, what can others do to him?
Lan Xichen once jokingly repeated Wei Wuxian's words regarding the absence of his sword.
However today, Looking at the young man who's lying unconscious on the bed — Lan Xichen realized:
Others can really do something, when Wei Wuxian has no clothes on!
...And this "others" referred to himself.
