Summary
Everything had been just fine… until it was not. Come to find out that Sabbath had a trigger, of sorts. Something that could set them off into a blind rage within seconds. It had only happened twice, but the second time had caused them to hurt John Dory. Their king. Their heart.
So, Sabbath ran. They couldn’t stay, not when they were a risk to their King. What they hadn’t expected was for Creek to be the one to come after them.
Takes place a year after the events of the main story. Creek, Floyd and Branch were rescued and returned to the kingdom.

Summary
This was it. The consequences of his actions rushing up to meet him like a fall to the floor.
After all that time spent trying to get Floyd back home… Creek had relented to the orders of his master, his body seemingly on autopilot as he dragged the prince back into the Dark Woods. The fear of Silos, his master, had been too much, and he couldn’t fight it off. He’d obeyed him his entire life. It was second nature.
He’d left to go back to the Dark Woods to see him, to maybe see if he could change his mind, plead with him, beg, anything. He left Floyd alone, miles away, just to try and see if maybe going back himself would help. Maybe it would give Floyd a chance at getting back to the kingdom alone.
Oh, how wrong he was…

“When I kill, I feel… nothing.” Creek looked down at his trembling hands. The irony of his statement almost forced a laugh out of him. He used to feel nothing. Now he felt too much. “I’ve spent years training my mind to not feel any remorse or regret in my actions. It made it easier to do what I was told. To follow my orders.” He smiled bitterly, thinking of his tribe, of what they did. What they turned him into. He clenched his hands to stop them from shaking, nails digging into his palms. “Like an obedient dog.”
“Creek…” Floyd didn’t know what to say. He knew being a royal guard meant they were trained to kill, to protect their Prince or Princess at all costs. It was part of the job, that much he knew. But knowing what he knew now about Creek, about his upbringing, what he’s done… it wasn’t an easy pill to swallow. None of this was.
